Often the approach to conditions such as chronic fatigue syndrome and Long COVID are comparable to throwing darts at a dart board. We all want to hit the bullseye and resolve our symptoms, but without the right skills, we may miss the mark.

The other challenge with a dart board approach is that we may be trying interventions that have worked for others, but aren’t the right pathway for us at this stage of our healing journey.

It is important to recognise that even though something has helped someone else, it doesn’t mean it will help us.

In our experience working with chronic fatigue-type conditions, it's not uncommon for our clients to have tried numerous approaches already. Some of these approaches have offered minor improvements, but many have been marginal at best. This can be both costly and frustrating. If this is your experience too, you likely already know there is, unfortunately, no one ‘magic pill’.

- cuddling a pet gives us a dose of the feel-good hormone oxytocin
- healing sunshine is important for vitamin D (and immunity)
- fresh air and nature can boost serotonin levels, another feel-good hormone
- earthing or grounding stabilizes our physiology at the deepest levels
- a relaxing cuppa (not caffeinated) for a calming break
