When a male and female dog get stuck together during mating , it's called “copulatory tie” or “lock”.
The “copulatory tie” occurs when the bulbus glandis , an erectile tissue structure located at the base of a male dog’s p***s, engorges with blood. This happens just after the male-dog inserts its p***s into the female’s va**na and it begins to thrust. The bulbous glands swell quickly and form a spherical enlargement, twice the diameter of the shaft of the p***s. The circular muscles located just inside the female’s va**na, called the constrictor vestibule muscles, contract against the bulbous glands, completing the lock and preventing the p***s from being withdrawn.
