NEW YEARS RESOLUTION PREP TIME – SET YOURSELF UP FOR SUCCESS BY PLANNING
Did you know most New Year’s Resolutions are forgotten about 14 days into the new year?
No matter what your New Year’s resolution is for 2023, if it is related to health and lifestyle changes the more you know about YOUR biochemistry (mineral composition), the more chance you have of success. That’s why you need to liaise with me. As a clinical nutritionist, I have the skills to guide you to success.
Your hair, was once a living cell which holds invaluable information about what is going on in your body. Just like ice cores drilled out of glaciers show an invaluable history of what has occurred over millennia, Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis provides information about what has been going on with your biochemistry (minerals) at a cellular level (inside your cells) in your body for the last three months.
Do you have disordered blood sugar metabolism? This can show up on HTMA (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis) long before fasting blood glucose picks up an issue. If you do have disordered blood sugar and you are aware of it you can address it and not let it sabotage your New Year’s resolution.
Have you got a slow metabolism, slow thyroid ?– these issues make losing weight and getting motivated to exercise a challenge – slow metabolism and slow thyroid show up the a Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis as excess calcium in relation to other minerals. See it can be tricky interpreting a Hair Analysis, looks like its good to have plenty of calcium, it is in the bones, but not in the soft tissue. In a Hair Analysis ratios to other minerals tell the story – don’t let slow metabolism sabotage your New Year’s resolution.
What about a build up of toxic metals? For example Mercury, cadmium, lead, can mimic nutrients stealing their place in the cell. They can also block channels in the cell that stops nutrients getting in and waste getting out of the cell. don’t let toxic metals sabotage your New Year’s resolution.
What about mood disorders. Surely a Hair Analysis couldn’t help there? Well you wouldn’t think so but a lot of mood disorders, even mood disorders in children, relate to issues with metal absorption, transport and excretion, especially copper. Knowing your mineral status can help you work toward mineral balance.
