Testosterone & You

Testosterone is a hormone that’s produced in the te**es of both men and women. Testosterone is responsible for masculinization, which means it makes males more masculine. It also helps maintain muscle mass and strength, fat distribution, and s***m production.

As you can imagine, testosterone levels are very important in men’s health—too little can lead to problems with fertility and muscle mass, while too much can cause aggression and even prostate cancer.

Testosterone is a hormone that plays a key role in the development of male reproductive tissues such as testicles and prostate, as well as promoting secondary s*xual characteristics such as increased muscle and bone mass, and the growth of body hair.

Testosterone is often called the male s*x hormone because it’s necessary for normal s***m production and male reproductive health. Testosterone also plays a vital role in how we feel about ourselves — our sense of well-being, confidence, self-esteem and motivation — as well as how we respond to stress. Low testosterone can cause fatigue, lack of energy, depression (including lack of interest in s*x), reduced muscle mass, low s*x drive (libido) and erectile dysfunction (ED).

In men, testosterone plays a key role in the development of male reproductive tissues such as testicles and prostate, as well as promoting secondary s*xual characteristics such as increased muscle and bone mass, and the growth of body hair. Testosterone also stimulates the growth of human muscle, bones and red blood cells. The average male produces about seven to eight millilitres (mL) of semen per ej*******on. Semen contains s***matozoa (s***m), which are produced in the seminiferous tubules of the te**es; they develop into mature s***m over a period of 60 to 90 days. In males, testosterone is produced mainly in Leydig cells. The hypothalamus and pituitary gland control testosterone production by releasing gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH).

But it isn’t just about making men look good; male testosterone also plays a huge role in our mental health (and our physical health).

Male testosterone helps you sleep better and feel more awake during the day. It can also help you boost your memory and focus—which is great for anyone who needs to get stuff done!

It’s important to note that male testosterone levels tend to naturally drop as you age. This means that while younger men may have higher levels of testosterone than older men, this isn’t always accurate!
