Hi there. For those interested, this is my next group sound healing event. Celebrating the Summer Solstice in mindful practice, with inspiration from the ancients and the potential of now.

Greetings illuminated beings. Excited to have recently come into the acquisition of my newest drum. In the foreground is my Udu drum. This may introduce a gentle African element to my group sound sessions. I’ve had quite a sentimental spot for drumming and percussion for close to 25 years, particularly of the exotic flavour. Like many aspiring instrumental folks, I’ve experienced many a fun time with varied drum circles. Numerous times, I’ve experienced a particular vibe or energy present within these sessions. My recent experiences have allowed me to fully understand this ‘phenomenon’. Numerous studies have concluded that continuous, rhythmic cycles of drumming can induce trance and or altered states of consciousness. A process of brainwave entrainment can alter the state of one’s brainwave frequency. The key frequency here is the sweet spot of the theta/alpha border. This is the same frequency experienced in deep states of meditation and relaxation. It’s also the experience that Shamans from numerous cultures reach within their trance states of non ordinary reality. So many journeys to be had!!!

Hi there amazing wonders. If you’ve found your way to this post, you’ve probably received a recent invite to this page. I’m looking to re-engage this page as my primary mode of all things sound. A re-launch of sorts. Apologies in advance for any hiccups that may occur as this domain is not quite my forte. As detailed in the previous post, my group sound healing sessions will be following the ancient Celtic wheel of the year. This is when one can roughly expect my group sessions to occur. Our mind, body and soul are sometimes more like these cycles than we’d expect, with archetypes and metaphors existing as guides to our general way of living. All part of the journey. I’ll be including these references over time within my sound healing sessions. Look forward to moving with the wheel.

Hi folks. Just a little invite to a little something down the track. This event is listed on eventbrite or you can message me for further details. This is a taste of how my group sessions will be rolling: that being with the cycle of the year and it’s flow. If you know your pagan sabbats, you’ll be aware of when they fall. I’ll be posting those seasonal cycles in a future post, not too far from now. My one to one sessions are also still available on request.

New Year sound byte!! Happy New Year to you and your kin, from Richie, at Bardd Instruments And Sound Healing. And so another increment of time passes us by, with more time to follow and all the time in between: the present moment. But hey, what is time. Following from facilitating sound healing sessions, one of the reoccurring pieces of feedback I sometimes hear is, of the distortion and or dilation of time. Which is a whole other story. But something to ponder: did you ever notice the month of October? That in every numerical reference, Oct means 8! Yet it’s the the tenth month. Add to this, Septem meaning 7 (our 9th month), Novem meaning 9 (our 11th month) and decem meaning 10 (our 12th month). The point being, our calendar system has gone through significant changes over time. Some nationalities previously commenced the new year in March, in line with the equinox until the current system began to be introduced in the 1500’s. But hey, what is time outside of the present moment. 😊

Thanks so much Jan Winslade for hosting my group sound healing session at your home. It was the first that I’d done in this format, being in somebody’s private home. It worked really well. It’s amazing how this format is taking off for musicians and the like-parlour sessions, porch sessions etc. I look forward to doing more of these. Looking forward to hosting my next group sound healing session. The festive season is upon us once again. Likewise, the approaching summer solstice. It can be a good time to nurture the self, wether it’s preparation for festivities ahead, or take a breather from the goings on to date. Group sound healing Thursday 24th November, 7.30-8.30. Happy to be taking my swag of sound healing equipment to the New Earth Community Hub in Patterson Lakes. Everyone welcome, but be sure sure to get in early and let me know as places are limited. I work with sound to influence brain chemistry and cellular biology, which can help to improve your nervous system and ultimately, your health and well being. It’s especially useful for people prone to anxiety, depression and sleeping disorders and can also help with personal growth. The session is $20 per person and is next door to the cafe at 29 Terrigal DVE Patterson Lakes from 7.30 till 8.30. If you’re interested, please message me and I can add your name. In this video I explain where I left off with my instrument and sound healing journey, re-launching what is now Bardd Instruments And Sound Healing. This is the original guitar that I built during my guitar building course. I am currently building another acoustic guitar made from recycled timber, the bulk of which used to be a cabinet made from Queensland Maple. This will be based on the Martin OM vintage series. There’ll be photos coming soon if the progress so far. For now, enjoy the sounds of this guitar made from Australian timbers. And many thanks to the chorus of frogs and bird song in this series of videos!!😊

This video combines the dual concepts of my instrument making and sound healing. This is a reconstruction of a 5th-6th century lyre harp based on archaeological findings across the British Isles. These are available by order and compliment at home vocal toning that I often recommend to sound healing clients. Funny enough, this particular one was actually made for my wife (as she keeps reminding me😁) but has a permanent residency within my sound and healing room!!😁
