What's the difference between personality and character — and why does it matter for your spiritual growth?

In this insightful conversation, Sphinx Spiritual School of Learning co-directors Ian and Pearl Rogers unpack one of the foundational teachings of spiritual counselling: the distinction between personality and character.

Pearl explains that character reflects a person's ability to discern right from wrong and that the more spiritually evolved a person becomes, the stronger and more defined their values will be.

Personality, on the other hand, is made up of traits carried through genetic lines, along with additional traits given by Spirit to equip you for what you're here to achieve in this lifetime.

As Ian shares from his own experience, personality can shift with mood, context, and age. Character is the constant, the foundation of who you truly are.
