📣We are excited to share Spectrum Writing has a NEW owner‼️
As of Monday, 15 September 2025 Spectrum Writing will be under the new leadership of ➡️ Kiran Vippuluri.
All of our programs will be continuing as they are, with the same Session Facilitators and Session Assistants. The same phone number and email address will continue to be used for Spectrum Writing.
I started Spectrum Writing in 2019 with my wife, two groups and a dream. I wanted to create the place that I needed when I was younger. Now 6 years on, Spectrum Writing covers almost thirty groups across 4 sites in Adelaide and online. With a team of 20 dedicated people to help deliver the sessions and the writing mentorships.
Our unique service has been recognised in:
-HESTA Excellence Awards 2024- Finalist for Disability Services, Team Excellence
-Telstra Best of Business Awards 2024 - Stage 3 Finalists Building Communities
-Successful grant recipients for the 2024 Autism in the Works community grant program from the Office for Autism, for our project ‘Hyperfocus’. Publishing an anthology of our writers’ work. ‘Hyperfocus’ was launched by the Minister for Autism at the State Library, and many of the authors read their works to a packed room, followed by a book signing.
-Adelaide Festival “Floods of Fire”
But most of all, we have met a huge group of amazing people. We’ve seen our participants make friendships at our tables and chase their dreams, which have included many published books and comics, and even an upcoming television appearance on ABC’s The Assembly!
It was a big decision to make, but is the right one for myself and my family. But fear not, because we are passing the Spectrum Writing torch into very capable hands!
It is my pleasure to introduce to you Kiran, the new owner of Spectrum Writing:
Kiran lives in Adelaide, South Australia with his wife, Prithi. Together, they are foster parents to two girls and one of whom is neurodiverse child. Family plays a central role in Kiran’s life, and his experiences as both a parent and carer have given him a deep appreciation for the unique strengths, challenges, and stories each child brings.
While he spends his weekdays working in IT, his heart is devoted to supporting young people and families in ways that help them feel seen, valued, and understood. Kiran believes that everyone deserves the chance to thrive, and that happens best when people are supported to recognise their strengths, embrace their differences, and build resilience through life’s ups and downs.
He is passionate about taking a neuro-affirmative and holistic approach in how he supports children and families, always focusing on creating safe, empowering, and sustainable paths forward.
For Kiran, it’s about helping people live meaningful lives—while celebrating who they truly are.
Kiran makes the most of his downtime—often heading out for a run, taking his fur babies for a walk or relaxing with a good Netflix or Prime series once the kids are tucked in.
We look forward to Spectrum Writing’s next chapter, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for letting us into your lives.
