Final group next week (Thursday 16th)!!!

Hi Folks, after almost a year in operation, the Mental Health Support Group has decided to wind up. Please feel free to join us next week to be a part of the final group session.

Those who have attended regularly report improved self-confidence, less social anxiety, improved sense of connection and personal growth.

With the current members all in a good place, and no new people coming through, we decided last night to wind up after next week.

The Mental Health Support Group for the most part has been a privately funded contribution to the Mt Barker community, with additional community support via the GoFundMe. A very warm thank you to all those who have contributed and supported the group. We were able to raise over $600 last year, which paid for the room hire for 10 weeks and helped cover some costs, which was amazing. Also, a special shout out to Tara and Maya who co-facilitated the group and helped with Facebook posts and support.

As a peer support group, it has been the members of the group attending each week that have made the group possible, so a big shout out to each of you.

Hope to see you next week for our last session!!😀 In the meantime, here are some of the ideas discussed last night for establishing new routines and keeping on track.

It's Thursday! The Inner Smile Mental Health Support Group is on again tonight and I can't wait to see everyone there.

The support group is a great place to come together with your peers to help you through any difficulties you may be going through. We run every Thursday from 7-9pm. If you've been on the fence about attending, why not make tonight the night and see how the group can help you.

Great to see everyone at the Mental Health Support Group last night!! Some meaningful sharing, followed by a great discussion about positive mental health strategies. Lots of shared wisdom and ideas that people have used to improve their mental health.

Just confirming the group will be meeting Boxing day at the usual time. This time of year can be especially challenging, so feel free to join us if you need support. All are welcome.
