My name is Amy. I’m a remedial massage therapist working in Melbourne's eastern suburbs. Read on to learn all about the therapist.
I studied at Southern Schools of Natural Therapies in Fitzroy and have been a massage therapist since 2011.
Remedial massage is so rewarding to me because of the results I see in clients. Helping manage and eradicate pain while guiding clients in ongoing muscular health is what I aim to achieve. Throughout my career I’ve had great opportunity to educate my clients about how powerful massage can be.
I use a combination of modalities that are ideal for chronic pain and injury. These include deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy and myofascial release. Combined with dry needling and modern cupping styles.
I give my clients a treatment plan and advise on how to care for your injury at home. This is to continue the benefits long after your visit and to create a connection and confidence in my treatment.
Working history
For the past three years I have been working alongside other practitioners such as myotherapy, osteopathy and physiotherapists.
I have also worked in the field of massage for some of Melbourne's top hotel day spa’s, volunteered for several charities and sporting clubs including the Sacred Heart Clinic, Melbourne Marathon and the Women’s Circus.
Hobbies
Away from work I play roller derby and love to travel. A love of animals, with three chickens and two pet bunnies also keeps me on my toes.
Promoting the power of massage to my clients and delivering the highest standard of practice is my focus. My vision for the future is to be a leader in the Australian massage industry while leading in excellence in practice.
