Heroine's Journeys & Women's Circles The journey of a Heroine uses strong female role models from TV&film, the power of archaic images and role play to help women fight for their highest dreams.

Workshops generally take place in light and fun atmosphere over a weekend or 4 evenings. No one has to reveal or share anything personal if they don’t want to. There are a million ways to go. Participants will get to see themselves as the super heroines of a fantastic saga. They will explore their goal, motivation and obstacles, learn to recognise risky situations, danger, super weapons; to tell ally from enemy, remedy from poison. The workshop offers a range of exercises to replace self-defeating thoughts and actions with new patterns. There will be a lot of opportunity to anchor insights and to try out new behavioural patterns in a safe setting. After the workshop, the invincible super hero powers remain accessible as well as the unshakable self-confidence of the true hearted. Techniques used in the workshop include script writing, character studies, psychodrama, neurolinguistic programming, process oriented psychology, cognitive behaviour therapy. The healing power of the group will unfold on a subtle level while participants enjoy the lightness of a fantasy world.

• Vision of an exciting future and knowledge of steps towards it
• New strategies to deal with difficult situations

The workshop is run by Iris Zantop, an experienced drama tutor, facilitator, freelance author and film maker. Iris holds a master’s degree of laws and theatre pedagogy from the University of Zurich and the School of music, drama and dance. After fighting off post-natal depression and anxiety, she would love to embark on a journey with other woman and support them in their search for the techniques that could help them through the roughest patches and make them work for others. Tailored workshops for groups with special interests available. Workshops run on weekends and evenings.
4 evenings or 2 days 240 AUD, 90 for low income or high expenses, 40 AUD for no income with concession. For more information and current dates of workshops email to iris@zantop.net or call 0422033659

Instead of Pin-Up girls, Annie Leibowitz was contracted to photograph women, who have accomplished something for the 2016 "Pirelli Calendar". This marks a turning point in the history of the Pirelli Calendar, an exclusive publication, only accessible for a few thousand chosen ones every year. It matters little whether this is simply a marketing stunt to access the new market segment of women who can buy cars and influence others more as they statistically pass on more recommendations in average than men do. What matters is, that there are now images of inspiring women out there, images that actually look like the human beings they are representing.

Wonderful Martha, thank you for your feedback and question just before. I had to amend the previous post as the answer is no, not all pictures will be digitalised. We will have to see what we've got first. If we do anything with a picture we will let you know. But I will follow up with the photographer in regards to your inquiruy.

I've been asked if pictures can be obtained as an electronic copy and larger format. As I understand from what the photographer has explained to me it might be possible, but very expensive. I am happy to facilitate. Just send me and email to iris@zantop.net with what it is you'd like and - if you know - add how big the picture needs to be. Then we'll see what can be done and what it would cost.

The wonderful women who worked together at "The Heroines & Goddesses" workshop today have so generously, respectfully and openly tried out what we had to offer. They listened, lead, and shared their truly touching and very powerful stories. All of us in the team deeply impressed and very happy about how it went.
I am terribly sorry about the lack of information in regards to the limited number of spaces and the bookings list. My sincere apologies to those who invested their time and were disappointed. We certainly know what to do differently in that concern next time. A heartfelt thanks to all of you who participated.
Copies of pictures taken on the day will be up on this site in about two weeks all going smoothly.

As we women have to make up our own standards and make sure our self-value - here is some food for thought in regards to rolemodels in fiction:

Sherlock Holmes gets to be brilliant, solitary, abrasive, Bohemian, whimsical, brave, sad, manipulative, neurotic, vain, untidy, fastidious, artistic, courteous, rude, a polymath genius. Female characters get to be Strong.

"[in neolithic times] images of the Goddess both pregnant and giving birth-have been found everywhere in shrines and houses, on vases and clay figurines. And if the central religious image was a woman giving birth and not, as in our time, a man dying on a cross, it would not be unreasonable to infer that life and the love of life-rather than death and the fear of death-were dominant in society as well as art."
