Procrastination is often a protective response to stress, fear, or overwhelm - not a character flaw.

IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO RECONNECT THESE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

And with just a few days left, it’s okay to feel like time slipped away.

But here’s something hopeful:

A recent study found that the most powerful boost in teen mindfulness didn’t come from apps or meditation—it came from something simple and human:

Why did it work so well?

Because it offered:

🧠 Why is my brain always so negative?

If you’ve ever asked yourself this, here’s some reassurance:

YOU'RE NOT BROKEN - YOUR BRAIN IS JUST DOING ITS JOB.

It’s called 'negativity bias', and it’s part of how our brains evolved to keep us alive.

Your mind is wired to scan for potential THREATS — because paying attention to danger used to be a matter of survival.

That’s why:
🔺 You remember criticism more than praise
🔺 You dwell on what went wrong
🔺 You jump to the worst-case scenario, even when things are going okay

This doesn’t mean something is wrong with you.

It means your nervous system is trying to PROTECT you.
