Our Hearts Are With Bondi ❤️

Today, we hold space for the lives lost and forever changed by the heartbreaking violence at Bondi. We send our deepest condolences to the families, friends, first responders, and everyone impacted by this tragedy. There are no words that can fully ease such pain, but there is presence, care, and community 🙏

At The Mind Cafe Community, we believe in a world guided by kindness, empathy, and humanity. A world where differences in beliefs, backgrounds, and ideologies are not reasons for division, but opportunities for understanding. We may not all think the same, live the same, or believe the same, but we all share the same need for safety, dignity, and love ❤️

In moments like these, choosing compassion matters. Listening matters. Looking after one another matters. Even small acts of kindness can ripple outward in powerful ways 🙏

May we honour those affected by committing, again and again, to building a more caring, connected, and peaceful world ❤️

Our Guy and the 'Chats with Kindness' team needs help 🙏

Guy is reaching out because he could really use an empathetic and youthful volunteer tomorrow morning at 'Chats with Kindness' at Dee Why Beach. Our lovely helper, Felicity, is dealing with a foot problem, and we need some help with chairs and equipment ❤️

If someone would be willing to help us set up and pack down (even just tomorrow, or maybe occasionally in future), it would be such a gift to our team 😊

Today, we’re holding space for our dear friend Connie, whose bright spirit and deep connection to our cafe community will always live on here ❤️

Connie chose her path with courage and grace, and we honour her by sharing a beautiful poem she wrote. A poem that captures the heart, hope, and wisdom she carried with her every day and for eternity 🙏

When the body has declined
That it can no longer stay
We can still be together
But in another way

The human life cycle
Has an Universal touch
Birth and death are new beginnings
And should be celebrated as such
