We’re running (and walking) for a reason. The Royal Flying Doctor Service provides emergency and primary healthcare to those across our great country, right to the most remote corners.

With a waiting room of 7.69 million square kilometres, the RFDS provides 24-hour aeromedical emergency services that can reach anywhere, no matter how remote, within hours. Combined with telehealth consultations, fly-in fly-out GP and Nurse clinics, mobile dental services, patient transfers, and a myriad of other health services, the RFDS is constantly working to see that those living in rural and remote areas can enjoy the same health outcomes as those living in city areas.

Our team is proud to be taking part in Do It For Dolly Day 💙 today.

This important initiative helps raise awareness of bullying and supports programs that promote kindness, connection, and safer communities for young people. We’re supporting this cause by wearing blue and contributing to fundraising efforts that go toward anti-bullying education and support services.

By taking part, you’re standing with thousands of Australians to ensure no young person has to face bullying alone, while honouring Dolly Everett’s memory and her dream of a world free from bullying.

If you’d like to learn more or get involved, you can visit the official Do It For Dolly Day website.

Let’s all play a part in creating a kinder, more respectful community 💙 To donate go to the link in our bio.

IT’S ON! Go to the link in bio listen and watch Down to the Bone.

The Down to the Bone Podcast is where orthopaedics gets unpacked; from the realities of surgical training to the nuts and bolts of common conditions and their treatment. Expect practical insights, a few behind-the-scenes stories, conversations that bridge the gap between clinicians and patients and how, as orthopaedic surgeons, we take care of ourselves.

Because at the end of the day, great outcomes don’t happen in isolation, collaboration across colleagues is what really moves the needle.

Whether you’re in healthcare or just keen to better understand your body, this one’s for you.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them...
