Every time we see birds and dogs, we just have to get excited (even though birds creep me out).
My face probably looked a bit like this today when Haiden brought the massage oil over to me and said yes to a massage. This was the first massage I have been able to give her in weeks.
I didn’t want to seem like the lame mum who was too keen, so I kept 90% of my excitement inside and proceeded to massage her with a cool, calm and collected exterior.
Usually my girl is full of beans, only stops once she has dropped, but during the massage she laid there as I alternated between both of her legs, wriggling which ever one in the air she wanted me to massage.
It was the perfect time where we got to connect in a positive way. Rather than me telling her to stop trying to climb over the stair rail or not to eat something out of the bin, we got to appreciate each other’s happy face and bounce off one another’s calm energy.
Overall it was such a positive time, in between her daily explorations and it was a good reminder that children go through ebbs and flows❤️
