✨Did You Know?✨
To maintain health and fitness, horses need to be exercised regularly. Did you know that horses begin to loose conditioning after about three weeks of not being exercised? So if you give your horse a break, it will loose a certain amount of muscles and stamina. Therefore, it is really important to bring your horse back into work carefully, considering you’d probably like to maintain long-term soundness of your horse? After a 6-8 weeks break, the cardiovascular and respiratory system can take up to two months to return to full capacity, and the musculoskeletal system can take even longer. And we are not different to that. If we didn’t do anything for that amount of time, we wouldn’t be able to run as fast or lift as much as we were able to before the break. So if you don’t want to risk injuries, you’ll probably take your time to get back to your fitness level that you had before the break, and you should offer the same to your horse. For the next few weeks I’ll keep you updated about the progress the horses are making while I’m bringing them back into work, and I will let you know some recommended exercises, so stay tuned ✨

Hey Guys 🌻
I hope everyone is during okay during these uncertain times! The horses had a little spell while we weren’t allowed to work them due to travel restrictions. We’ve finally got the green light to start work again, so I started writing up a little exercise plan to get them back into work safely! Stay tuned for some little tips and trick on how to get a horse back into work after a long break ✨

✨Nika✨
Here finally the update about Denman! Nika was gorgeous in the dressage warm-up. She still gets a bit nervous when there’s a few other riders around but handled it much better than expected. Our test went alright, unfortunately she got spooked while we were cantering and took a step outside the arena. Besides that and a few “mare-moments” she went very well for her first time.
The jumping didn’t go too bad either. She knocked one rail unfortunately but besides that went very well.
Cross-country was definitely our element. She had so much fun cantering around the course and didn’t refuse once. Im super proud of her and can’t wait to take her out again. There’s much room for improvement and we’re definitely ready to show our best again soon 🌻

✨Little Update✨
Hey guys! Sorry I haven’t been active lately. Unfortunately, Nika and I had a little accident the weekend before . Thankfully, Nika was alright but I’m still recovering from my injuries. However, considering all the work we had put in getting ready, I decided to go ahead and compete. Nika and Nioh did really well for their first competition with me, and I couldn’t be happier with how we went considering the circumstances. I will post more information about how Denman ODE went soon! But for now, I’m taking a little break until next week. Some time to recover, and some time to spend with my partner. Hopefully I will be back fully recovered and rejuvenated by the end of next week! 🌻
Thanks for all the amazing photos 📸😍
Thanks for introducing me to Nika and Nioh 🐎☀️
Thanks for always helping me getting the best gear for my horses and me 🐴🦋

Nika is a 7 year-old Thoroughbred mare. Not gonna lie, she definitely behaves like a mare too 😅 Even though she can be a little witch sometimes, she is absolutely amazing, really brave and willing to work. She enjoys jumping the most and shows heaps of potential but she also shows potential in dressage and cross country. I’m really excited to see how far we can go and hopefully will see a few of you at competitions soon 💫

✨Bobby Dazzler ✨
This is one of our newest family members, Bobby, my partner’s horse. Bobby is only five years old but has shown how brave and willing to learn he is. When he came to us he did not understand the principle of stretching or coming on the bit at all but now he is really making progress and slowly starting to understand how to engage his muscles, lift his back and stretch down and forward. Even though he still has a long way to go we know that there is a lot of potential hiding behind that cheeky face.

Happy New Year everyone! ✨ I hope y’all had an amazing start in 2021!
Sorry for being so inactive lately! I had a lot going on. Snoopy and Nioh had a little break over Christmas and New Years as well but all of us are back fully refreshed and ready for work. I’m excited to train more horses and help more people improve their riding this year! Nioh is starting to come along really well and we will start jumping exercises really soon! Snoopy is recovering really well and has finally started gaining weight again! Stay tuned for some more exciting news, tips and tricks to be posted soon ✨

❉ Snoopy ❉
Snoopy has been quite sore and unhappy from when I got him (with much improvement regarding his happiness, tho). Like I said before, I don’t know too much about his history besides that he has been abused before I got him. He started losing more and more weight and not carrying himself properly, so I tried to do gentle groundwork to build his muscles up again. No matter how much food he got, we wouldn’t keep any weight on, so I decided to get someone more professional to look into it. Today I got the results, and turns out that one of the previous owners has broken his ribs (which he still hasn’t recovered from), and together with the broken ribs he must’ve developed depression. I’m absolutely furious but also sad. I don’t know how anyone could do something like this to any animal. But I’m grateful that I finally know what is wrong with him. From now on we will just work on a patient and loving recovery. I’m also relieved that I finally know more about his history and totally understand why he was so scared of human contact when I got him. But at least he is making really good progress. He usually comes up to the fence right when he sees me and enjoys a good cuddle! But did you know that broken ribs are a surprising cause of lameness? So keep an eye out, as this can also happen in the paddock when fighting with other horses. Another important tip for when you buy horses: make sure you feel like you can trust the seller about the horse, otherwise get a vet to come with you and have a look at the horse you want to buy.

❉ Night Manager ❉
This is Night Manager (Nioh), my 8 year old Thoroughbred gelding. He came off the track two years ago and was spelled for about 12 months. He is quite forward still and has to learn that he doesn’t have to race anymore. He is a really lovely boy but needs to learn a bit more respect. I am super excited to see where I can take him as he is showing potential in dressage as well as in jumping! At the moment we’re still doing a lot of groundwork but also as much work under the saddle as possible. I will try to upload as many updates about his progress as possible and let you know some little tricks for working with OTTBs and horses that question your authority! ✨
If you have any questions or need help with your horse, feel free to send me a message 🐴

This is Snoopy, my 9 year old Paint Horse Gelding. I got him in February this year and we’ve already made heaps of progress. Snoopy was abused when he was younger and developed anxiety issues. He is really scared of people, therefore trying to catch or touch him can be difficult! At the moment we’re doing a lot of groundwork, so he learns that he can trust people and no one is trying to hurt him here at his new home. We have started a little bit of work under the saddle and he is going quite good! I will try to upload as many updates about his progress as possible and let you know some little tricks for working with abused or anxious horses! Stay tuned ✨
If you have a horse that was abused in the past or/and is extremely anxious and you might need some help, feel free to send me a message 🐴

❉ Introduction ❉
Hey I’m Nat! I started horse riding when I was three years old, because especially my father’s side of the family is all about horse riding and some family members competed in dressage on an international level. I always enjoyed being around horses and learning more and more about them. When I turned 14, I started training green horses (mainly really young or difficult horses that have experienced abuse when they were younger), and got my first teaching job when I was 15 years old. I started teaching children from the age of 3 to 15 in group lessons or private lessons, and also helped managing kids camps. While having my teaching job, I still trained horses for private owners, and the school horses we were using. I have also worked in America for a few months to teach children horse riding, and helped training young mustangs to become safe trail riding horses. When I turned 18, I decided to move to Australia and build my life here. At the moment I’m studying Psychology, and I’m planning to work as a psychologist for children who are experiencing or have experienced domestic violence. I’m aiming to use horses as therapy animals after completing my studies. I’m currently working as a horse riding instructor for all levels and ages, while training my own horses, as well as client’s horses. My lessons and training are based on natural horsemanship, and it is most important to me that both the rider and the horse are happy and able to trust and understand each other.
