It has been a while since I did some 'Mindful Baking'! Today I decided to slow down, put some worship music on, and focus only on baking and enjoying being in that moment 😊 Did it go to plan? Well, no. I found myself becoming distracted by something else and forgot an ingredient entirely. Whoops! 😅 But did I enjoy the time and did it still fill my cup up? YES. Did I berate myself afterwards for missing the ingredient? NO - because I don't deserve that 🙂 Did the Blondies still taste delicious? YES. It turns out that if you forget to put vanilla in, they still taste yummy!
M I N D F U L N E S S takes practice so if you find that sometimes you still get distracted when trying to relax into slow moments, or to deep breathe when you feel stressed, or you forget to even set aside time to practice just being present in a moment, that's ok 🫶🏻 you are learning and implementing a new skill, and that takes time and practice. Keep at it, and be kind to yourself along the way!
