Welcome Our New Director – Glody!

We’re excited to welcome Glody as a Director to our organisation.

Glody is a highly experienced Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife with nearly 30 years of experience supporting people and families across hospitals and community settings. She brings strong clinical knowledge and a deep commitment to person-centred, respectful, and evidence-based care, especially for people with complex needs.

With a background in community case management, rehabilitation, oncology, maternity, emergency care, and discharge planning, Glody is passionate about ensuring people experience safe, coordinated, and dignified support at home, in the community, and beyond.

Glody has held senior leadership and education roles throughout her career and is known for her warm communication style, strong advocacy, and commitment to quality and compliance within the NDIS.

We’re proud to have Glody join our leadership team and look forward to the positive impact she’ll make for participants, families, and our support workforce.

At Apoyo Care, we celebrate the strength, diversity, and resilience of the people and communities we support every day. As an NDIS Registered Provider, we are proud to walk alongside participants, families, and support workers championing choice, dignity, and meaningful connections.

Australia Day is also a time to listen, learn, and acknowledge the history and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, whose connection to this land spans thousands of years.

At Apoyo Care, we believe that the quality of support our participants receive begins with the knowledge, compassion, and confidence of the people who care for them. This week, we delivered an in-depth training program to ensure our team is equipped not just with skills, but with a deeper understanding of what our participants truly need.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist clients with daily living tasks including personal care, meal preparation, and household duties.
Encourage independence and support clients in achieving personal goals.
Facilitate social and community participation
Maintain accurate records and documentation of care provided.
Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent)
Experience in disability or aged care (preferred but not essential)
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
Working With Children Check and National Police Clearance
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings
