Maroba offers three tiers of residential accommodation plus two dedicated wings for the care of dementia patients. As well as all the expected services, you’ll enjoy outings, movie nights and support for your hobby. Family and friends will love to visit and use the barbecue area or café.

There's always something happening at Maroba! Here is what we were up to this afternoon:
- a cooking activity, making delicious pancakes
- a reminiscing group activity, discussing toys from our childhood
- residents in the gym
- our men's communication group with our Speech Pathology students
- & an art activity, making jewellery boxes
We aim to fill our days with meaningful activities that keep our residents engaged, connected and inspired. It's not just about keeping people busy, it's about nurturing joy, purpose and a sense of belonging.

❤️ Valentine’s Day Concert Celebration ❤️

Love was well and truly in the air at our Valentine’s Day celebration last week! Our residents enjoyed a beautiful afternoon filled with music, laughter, connection & delicious food. (The chocolate-covered strawberries were an absolute hit!) 🍓🍫

Valentine’s Day is about more than just romance. It’s a celebration of love in all its forms — friendship, family, kindness, memories, and the special bonds we share each day. It was so lovely to see our residents and their families singing along, holding hands, sharing smiles, and simply enjoying time together. 💖

Yesterday we received a visit from the wonderful ladies at Wearing Our Memories. The show involves an interactive display of vintage clothing, with a different theme each visit. This time it was vintage beach wear! Nina - who was a seamstress, and Joycey - who sewed for many years, especially loved it. Look at the smiles on those faces!

🎉 Celebrating 30 Years of Michael Hughes at Maroba! 🎉

Today we proudly celebrate an incredible milestone — Michael Hughes’ 30 years of service at Maroba!

Over the years, Michael has worn many hats, working across roles including kitchen and cleaning, before finding his true groove (and passion!) in social engagement, where he has made such a lasting impact on the lives of our residents.

We’ve had the privilege of watching Michael grow from a young man into the wonderful person he is today — getting married, raising three beautiful children, and building a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication.

Michael is more than a staff member — he’s part of the heart of Maroba. His warmth, humour, and genuine care mean so much to both residents and staff, and the joy he brings to our community is something truly special.

💙 Congratulations Michael and thank you for 30 amazing years! 💙
