I have always loved to explore….to find, to feel and experience new places. This weekend it was to Bowral and Mittagong 🚐. Yes it was chilly but so much fun and so much history. Had a chat with Sir Donald, and was happily lost in the antique warrens. All the senses were alighted ♥️

Absolutely love this. When you need to, take rest, deep rest, and let the ‘stuff’ flow, wherever it needs to flow 💜

"Grandma, I'm tired. So tired of this life..."

"Take your tiredness, my child, and wrap it around yourself. Like a blanket in the cold winter months. Tiredness comes to make you a nest, to bring you to wear comfortable clothes, to make you sink into its warm embrace. I invite you to stay within yourself. Without strength, without thoughts, without actions. Like the snow that covers everything to soften the world, to make it muffled, to protect it from noise. Accept the flakes of your tiredness and let yourself be completely covered by them."

"I could die buried under there..."

"You will be reborn instead. Like the seed in the ground. Do not resist your weariness, do not reject it with a thousand actions, a thousand intentions, a thousand feelings of guilt. It just wants to take you by the hand and lead you to sink into the void. Right there, where the source of every inner strength lies. They taught us to be strong by resisting. But it is in surrendering that the true heroes emerge."

"I'm afraid, grandmother. What if fatigue will annihilate me?"

"My child, you are not afraid of tiredness but of losing control of yourself. The time has come for you to give yourself to life. And to generate together with it the most wonderful children: the fruits of your soul!"

Read this slowly and let it absorb into your heart ♥️

Sometimes we love
And our hearts are broken

We dream
And our hopes are shattered

We wish
And our desires are unfulfilled

We give freely
And are left empty-handed

And we care for others
And aren’t loved in return
And those who we once most admired and valued
Do not reciprocate our affection.

Sometimes we undergo a process of loss and heartbreak
And are left feeling broken
And lacking hope
As we fail to realise
That we are not destined to remain stuck in this cycle indefinitely
And that in life
What lets go of you
Leads you home

What rejects you
Empowers you to embrace yourself fully
And that someone’s lack of love for you
Is ultimately a reflection of them rather than you.

And we feel most hurt
Not when we are rejected
But when we reject ourselves
We feel most sad
Not when others upset us

But when we seek happiness in sources that are unable to provide it and are left feeling let down
And we feel most alone
When we are strangers to ourselves

And so in order to find peace in our surroundings
We must first find peace within
In order to find joy outside of us
We must first experience joy internally
In order to feel fully accepted

We must first learn to fully accept ourselves
And that
Not every race is worth running
Not every battle is worth fighting

Not every adventure is worth embarking upon
And not every relationship is worth pursuing
And rejection is simply redirection

Allowing us to become more in touch with ourselves
And more awakened to our own self-acceptance and self-love.

❤ It’s a JOURNEY-Plant a Seed, Watch it Grow ❤

(Long read warning)

When I graduated from Naturopathy school I envisaged myself working in a multi modality clinic, well at least with two other health practitioners, supporting each other to help others in the community engage their health journey. Well…..that didn’t happen.

What did happen though was INDIGO HEALTH.

The multi modality clinic came in the form of a health food shop, first in Newcastle and then in my local area of Whitebridge. With a clinic space ‘out the back’ I began one by one to help others improve their life in areas of stress management, anxiety care, gut health and all things bloating, headaches, immune busters, female cycles, poor sleep, creams and others. Key to helping many of these beautiful souls is nourishing the body through the nutritional and lifestyle choices we make. Oh, and liquid herbs of gold of course!

The timing of COVIDs entry into all of our lives saw the sale of Indigo Health food shop and allowed time for rest, time out, slow down, repose, escape, nurture and insight into myself. Trust me it wasn’t all pretty for when you’ve been riding the Fight or Flight treadmill for a super long time, on one of those flights you eventually crash into a tree (or a car).

Seymours adrenal decline does happen. The body can only stay in adaptation mode for so long and that length of time is different for all of us. For some its 2 months, 6 months, 5 years, others just seem to keep going and going. For me…it was 10 years.

🌿 2020 gave me SPACE. It also bought me many challenges— menopause, injury, friendship change, injury, PTSD, grief, anxiety.

🌻 2020 gave me SPACE. To think, revaluate, learn about self, relinquish, insight, self-love, restoration and rejuvenation. And they all continue to go on.

🌿 2020 gave me SPACE. Time to renovate my mind, renovate thoughts and renovate business ideas. Hello INDIGO HEALTH 2021.

You’ll now find INDIGO in KAHIBAH, a beautiful beach side suburb of Lake Macquarie/Newcastle, just the next suburb over from where it was.
The miners cottage has been renovated and is now READY FOR YOU.

💫 YES…. INDIGO IS OPEN 💫

I am so excited to share this space with you. CREATING a SPACE that allows for healing to take place comes from my heart to yours. In order for positive health changes a space needs to make you feel comfortable, warm and safe. It needs to enable honest sharing and trust. The space needs to provide the opportunity for relaxation, release, vision and empowerment. I trust the new INDIGO space has this for you.

INDIGO is open for you to take that first step you’ve wanted to for a long time OR pick up from where you were before and engage that next step forward.

I hope that every time you walk into Indigo that weight is lifted, shoulders drop, energy flows, cells connect and tingle, and healing begins.

🙏 The light and love in me, honors the light and love in you 🙏

💜Maybe for you, maybe for one you know💜.

DEPRESSION TIPS:

Shower. Not a bath, a shower. Use water as hot or cold as you like. You don’t even need to wash. Just get in under the water and let it run over you for a while. Sit on the floor if you gotta.

Moisturize everything. Use whatever lotion you like. Unscented? Dollar store lotion? Fancy 48 hour lotion that makes you smell like a field of wildflowers? Use whatever you want, and use it all over your entire dermis.

Put on clean, comfortable clothes.

Put on your favorite underwear. Cute black lacy panties? Those ridiculous boxers you bought last christmas with candy cane hearts on the butt? Put them on.

Drink cold water. Use ice. If you want, add some mint or lemon for an extra boost.

Clean something. Doesn’t have to be anything big. Organize one drawer of a desk. Wash five dirty dishes. Do a load of laundry. Scrub the bathroom sink.

Blast music. Listen to something upbeat and dancey and loud, something that’s got lots of energy. Sing to it, dance to it, even if you suck at both.

Make food. Don’t just grab a granola bar to munch. Take the time and make food. Even if it’s ramen. Add something special to it, like a soft boiled egg or some veggies. Prepare food, it tastes way better, and you’ll feel like you accomplished something.

Make something. Write a short story or a poem, draw a picture, color a picture, fold origami, crochet or knit, sculpt something out of clay, anything artistic. Even if you don’t think you’re good at it. Create.

Go outside. Take a walk. Sit in the grass. Look at the clouds. Smell flowers. Put your hands in the dirt and feel the soil against your skin.

Call someone. Call a loved one, a friend, a family member, call a chat service if you have no one else to call. Talk to a stranger on the street. Have a conversation and listen to someone’s voice. If you can’t bring yourself to call, text or email or whatever, just have some social interaction with another person. Even if you don’t say much, listen to them. It helps. (You can always call/text/message me!)

Cuddle your pets if you have them/can cuddle them. Take pictures of them. Talk to them. Tell them how you feel, about your favorite movie, a new game coming out, anything.

May seem small to some, but this list keeps people alive.

*** At your absolute best you won’t be good enough for the wrong people. But at your worst, you’ll still be worth it to the right ones. Remember that. Keep holding on.

*** In case nobody has told you today I Love you and you are worth your weight and then some in gold, so be kind to yourself and most of all keep pushing on!!!!

***People don’t fake depression.. they fake being ok.
