If you, or someone you know, can help and complete this survey- please do so.
As parents of kids with an ED, life can be pretty brutal.
From December 10, 2025, Australia will become the first country in the world to restrict social media access for children under 16. This is a significant change to digital life in Australia, and the new laws are expected to have wide-ranging effects on young people and their families.
At NEDC, we are supporting national eating disorder carer organisation EDFA Eating Disorders Families Australia (EDFA) in sharing their Social Media Survey and inviting ALL parents and carers to take part - regardless of whether you care for someone with an eating disorder or not.
Your feedback will help shape understanding of how social media, and the new restrictions when they’re introduced, are impacting young people’s mental health, connection, concentration, and family life - both now and after December 10.
The survey takes around 10 minutes to complete, and all responses are confidential.
Please share this survey with other parents and carers so EDFA can capture a broad range of voices from across Australia.
