Hearing Awareness Week | 1โ7 March ๐
Hearing health is about more than just sound โ it supports memory, focus, emotional wellbeing and staying connected with the people around us.
Hearing changes often happen gradually: turning the TV up louder, struggling in noisy places, or feeling like people are mumbling can all be early signs. Around 1 in 6 Australians experience some degree of hearing difficulty, and the risk increases with age โ but hearing loss can affect anyone.
Research, including findings from The Lancet Commission, highlights that unmanaged hearing loss is one of the largest potentially modifiable risk factors for dementia in midlife.
Early action makes a difference. If youโre over 65 or noticing changes, consider a hearing assessment as part of your regular health care.
Hearing Help is your local, independent audiology practice providing comprehensive, patient-centred care โ from hearing tests and hearing aids to tinnitus support, wax removal, paediatric and workplace assessments.
Stay engaged. Stay confident. Stay connected.
