There’s a hard rain gonna fall ?

Locally moderate to heavy rainfall is likely over the next few days in southern and central Queensland. 🌧🌧

Now is the time to ensure you are prepared and reconsider your plans.

Widespread minor flooding is likely from Tuesday, with locally moderate to major flooding possible in the areas of heaviest rainfall.

With many catchments already saturated, flash flooding is likely so make sure you have a Plan B. Remember, never walk, ride or drive through floodwater.

An Initial Flood Watch has been issued by the Bureau of Meteorology, so make sure you stay up-to-date with any further warnings issued.

Remember as legitimate road users, a cyclist has the same rights and responsibilities as other road users which means they MUST obey Queensland Road Rules for Cyclists - it’s the law. Not someone’s well meaning opinion or interpretation of it , or what they have been told. Heres one for the long weekend

Sec 248 Riding across a road on a crossing
You must:
• never ride your bicycle across a pedestrian crossing, children’s crossing or marked foot crossing (crossing with lights) unless there is also a bicycle light at the crossing showing a green bicycle crossing light
• dismount from your bicycle and walk across.

Also, for ourselves, whether on our bikes or in our car here’s another myth debunked that you do in fact have to indicate if you are travelling straight through a roundabout.

Submissions to the Noosa Destination Plan end on this Sunday 29th October.
From protecting our environment and open spaces for recreation ( ie our bike lanes and forest bike trails through to management of STA to protect the local residents way of life.
This is one of the most important discussions the residents of Noosa can have - not to say how much they will be listened to but we should have a go.

Many Noosa Shire residents have come to live here from other places, attracted by the natural beauty, relaxed lifestyle and the diverse landscapes our coast and hinterland towns offer. We are starting a conversation across the Shire to stimulate discussion and obtain

You only need one universal spanner for a bike. We thought that Bella was missing her daily ride on our fat e-bikes, especially to MOTO for our daily early morning coffee ( we know that we do !!!) but she looks like she is having a good time ….

Quintessential Noosa winter’s day. Our bikes took us to 7 am yoga, coffee and breakfast at Bakers Pantry,another coffee at Moto Bar, along the sand to Sunshine Beach north for a swim and watch the whales and dolphins off shore, back to Marble Bar for lunch and a drink and back home.
A real fat tyred e-bike experience.No cars required, we’ve even sold our motor scooter.

🚲We want to inform you about an upcoming temporary detour on the Coastal Cycleway route. As part of the ongoing Permanent Slip Design at Ross Crescent Sunshine Beach, a borehole investigation is scheduled to take place. This essential work requires closing the footpath for a short period, which means we need to divert cyclists onto an alternate route. 🚧
