“I’m eating as little as possible—why am I not losing weight?!”

That thought ran through her mind every night as she went to bed with a grumbling stomach. Starving. Frustrated. Stuck. She truly believed that eating less was the only way to get the body she wanted. Skipping breakfast, nibbling on plain salads for dinner—she tried it all, convinced that more restriction meant more results. But each morning, the scale barely moved. Her energy was rock-bottom, her workouts suffered, and her confidence was fading. It felt like she was fighting a losing battle with her own body, and she was exhausted from the struggle.

Then one day, tired of feeling defeated, she decided to try the unthinkable: fueling her body instead of depriving it. She swapped out tiny portions for balanced, nourishing meals and started eating more of the right foods. At first, it was scary—years of diet myths had taught her to fear calories. But she stayed the course, focusing on protein, veggies, and healthy carbs to energize her body. And something incredible happened…

Her mind and body woke up. Suddenly, she had the energy to crush her workouts. She felt stronger, lifted heavier, and even her mood improved. Week by week, she watched her body transform. Muscle tone she’d never seen before started to appear. That stubborn weight she couldn’t lose? It finally began making sense. By eating more, she was finally seeing real progress. These woman who once felt trapped by hunger and frustration was now fueling themselves to greatness, and loving every minute of it.

Do you see yourself in her story? Unfortunately it’s all too common. If you’re tired of the eat-less, feel-less, get-nowhere cycle, it’s time for a change. Stop starving, start thriving! Your body isn’t a problem to punish—it’s an engine to fuel.

The Takeaway 💡

Enjoying these things occasionally is fine, but if you have goals you want to know how to manage and factor things in so you don’t get frustrated later.

And if you went to know how to do it for yourself (and get quicker results) I can teach you…or maybe you just need to save this post for later 😉

I had this convo with a client the other day about protein ice creams and what’s the deal with them, yay or nay?

Like a lot of things with the LPF it’s a choose you own adventure based on what you want to achieve, and WHY your choosing to have it.

My clients get adequate protein from their main meals so there really isn’t any reason to have extra from a food like this, and maybe they just want to enjoy the real deal and factor it in to their day/week.

Or, perhaps they feel like dessert but want the added benefits of whole food nutrients so yogurt and berries are a great option.

The point is to help YOU make the choice that’s right for you, your goals and lifestyle.

In my opinion there are better options out there than cleverly marketed ice cream to make it more “healthy” or appealing.

The LPF method TEACHES you how to make choices without restriction or simply basing choice off calories only, it’s more complex than that.

I wish things like this weren’t as common as they are.

I also wish there was more talk about them, because they can be helped by having the right info, and it ain’t just as simple as “eat in a calorie deficit” 🙄

Your cravings can be eliminated.

You can have control and choice over your food and still get results.

You don’t have to go on diet after diet “because nothing is working”

I have been working with a superstar client who after months of being consistent just smashed her period cravings and finally doesn’t feel like it’s all or nothing 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

You just need the right info. So keep following and share with a friend so they can get the goods too.

Whole foods > STORE BOUGHT protein bars…

Had to put the store bought part in there because they are usually the ones that may be convenient, but most are packed with artificial sweeteners, fillers, and processed ingredients that don’t fuel your body the same way real food does. They can also be pretty high in energy for a small volume of food, which if your aim is fat loss and you’re actually quite hungry is something you want to consider.

Whole foods like eggs, Greek yogurt, edamame provide better quality nutrients, more satiety, and steady energy without the blood sugar spikes (or hidden junk).

You CAN make great protein balls at home from whole foods, just remember they can also have lots of energy so factor them into your energy needs for YOUR goals.

They way I like to teach my clients is nothing is off limits it’s all about balancing it in and finding what works for you.

But I like to go whole foods first body (and hormones) will thank you.

Swipe and save my friend….

Next time you feel yourself frequently reaching for processed low cal foods because “you’re on a diet” and won’t allow yourself to eat adult sized meals I want you to refer back to this post pretty please 🙏🏻

I don’t want you to be on the diet merry-go round going no where fast.

I want you to have energy, eat real food, know that you can eat a HUGE range of foods you enjoy and get the results you want….

and I want you to stop focusing on calories burned (pretty please 🙏🏻)

💕

Send this to a friend who needs to know the goods - you’re doing them a BIG favour if you do.

Struggling with the restrict → overeat cycle? Let’s fix that.

I see this ALL the time—women trying to eat less to lose weight, only to end up eating more later. Not because of “lack of willpower” but because their body is screaming for fuel.

The answer isn’t more restriction or low-calorie, low-volume meals that leave you starving. The answer is fueling your body properly so you can stay full, satisfied, and in control around food.

The 90 day program at LPF that works on this very thing is called Empower90. Designed to help you learn new habits and behaviours that give you the results you want without having to keep going back and forth on the restriction reward cycle.

I teach you HOW to do it long term without sacrificing foods you love, but empowering you with knowledge and the power of choice and flexibility over your food.

Once you know, you know.

Number 5 is my most hated.

I hate seeing ads on socials that target women with sh*tty info, and then disclose in small writing *paid actor 🤦🏼‍♀️

Fat loss is hard, emotional and can be frustrating when it feels like nothing is working. Unfortunately there’s a LOT of inconsistent and clickbait info out there that should raise lot of red flags. These are some to watch out for

• Getting abs in a week shouldn’t be your goal and if it is you’re probably going to feel very disappointed. Don’t even bother wasting your time with videos like this. Yes it’s important to strengthen your core, but you most likely won’t see if it your nutrition is out of whack.

• There’s a difference between mindful movement, and training. A rest day can still include things like yoga, stretching and walking that will compliment your harder training sessions. This will help your progress more than over training.

• Oats will not make you fat. Nothing else needs to be said on this. Popcorn and chips can contain the same amount of calories per serve depending on the type you choose. But people perceive popcorn to be healthier and often eat it in a larger serve which doesn’t help progress. Food does not need to be demonised. It needs to be balanced and some foods eaten in moderation.

• Look at your diet before supplementing

• You can’t spot reduce and any sh*tty wall Pilates ad that suggests otherwise is selling you something you don’t need. I love pilates it’s a great form of training and movement, but this is not it.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year….that can lead you to feeling less than wonderful 😮‍💨

Bloating is a B***h and who wants to spend their holidays feeling like that?

At LPF I teach mindful eating practices, awareness and how to navigate social situations but after consistent days in a row sometimes you end up feeling puffy, lethargic and bloated.

These tips aren’t new, or things you might not have heard of before. But I do explain WHY they are helpful because if you know WHY then you’re more likely to implement them.

In the LPF Empower90 program I have a full week by week course that gives you allllll the goods on how foods interact with your body, why you want to include some more than others so you get a damn good understanding of why creating a balanced diet is important…not just for weight loss.

Hopefully this is a good reminder for you that whole food is your friend, movement is medicine, and on the other side of some pretty easy choices are some good feels for your mind and body ✌🏽

There might be some controversy around one of these….

And for most of the women I work with I wouldn’t recommend it as a first layer of fat loss journey.

You’ll always find a benefit to something if you search hard enough, but often the more important facts are the ones people want to ignore.

I’ve worked with enough frustrated women to know that

Skipping meals and banking calories doesn’t work long term.

Fasting without the right knowledge isn’t always a good strategy long term (I’ve chosen my words carefully here as someone with a good relationship with food, their body, and knows how to meet their nutritional requirements adequately this may be beneficial. But for busy women whose aim is fat loss this isn’t often the case).

If you constantly don’t meet your protein requirements you’ll feel the effects sooner or later, same if you believe that alcohol doesn’t effect your progress.

You can try to minimise the effects that alcohol has on your health, and I’m not saying don’t drink at all. I drink, I’m just not oblivious to how much energy wine and cocktail can have. If you want progress in most areas of your life you’re better off moderating here.

Lastly, sleep. Please don’t underestimate the power of a good quality sleep. I know it can be hard to always prioritise with busy lives, families, work but it’s important that you protect it as much as you can. Sleep is one of your main pillars of health and without it we all know the repercussions.

This silly season more than ever track your progress not by your physical changes but the ones you make building a better relationship with your body and with food. Look after yourself from the inside out 💕 and you’ll find the outside is a reflection of the inside 💕

Coming into this time of year saving money and being smart about where you spend your energy tickets is an investment that will pay off in more ways than one (We like this 👏🏻 I used to work in finance and you want to work smarter not harder so finding a win/win is 🙌🙌)

This time of year can be expensive, there’s more social occasions to attend, maybe presents to buy and when your short on time often convenience is what your looking for. But it can add up quite quickly cash wise and calorie wise.

So why not do it differently this year and look for the win/win.

Try and make as many home made meals as possible with levelled options like I’ve done here. I do this with my clients frequently, they have access to a bunch of LPF recipes that make macro friendly and budget friendly. Eating well doesn’t have to be expensive, especially when you know how.

Aiming for home made where possible can help you save $$ this holiday season to spend elsewhere, and you can moderate your energy intake on your regular meals so you have more currency for when you are dining out and celebrating with friends. This can help you manage your energy intake so then you can enjoy more relaxed meals with friends over the silly season without feeling like you’re going to need an overhaul on the new year.

Balance and a win/win mindset is how we do it here at LPF.

If you want more of this, this holiday season let me know by showing this post some love and I’ll keep the ideas flowing 😍
