Birthday month (x2💕) and filled with all the sweet treats, cake, cheese and eating out 🥰

🍫 Fave sweet treat of the month was making these delicious chocolate caramel bars with a salty sprinkle from the cookbook. So rich and buttery. Will defo make again

🧀 Popped into for their beautiful cheese and picked up a gorgeous brillat savarin (think the most decadent buttery triple cream cheese you’ve ever had). Also a massive fan of their Comte

🥜 Celebrated at and it did not disappoint. Beautiful food and wine with crayons and colouring in. I actually think their peanut butter parfait is my favorite restaurant dessert of all time, it’s literal perfection

Popped into to try their Easter dishes and drinks and wow they did not disappoint 🐣

☕️ The Hot Cross Bun Latte and Iced Spice were phenomenal. Made with a blend of house made spices, they’re a must try if you love the flavours of a HCB.
🥗 The Cauliflower Steak is incredible. Beautiful middle eastern flavors with great cronch to contrast the super soft cauli. Also love that the leaves were used as it’s so often wasted.
🍔 Double wagyu burger. NGL, the second patty wasn’t needed at all. Super flavoursome meat, pillowy brioche bun all held together with an umami rich burger sauce. Perfection.
🥬 Cabbage salad - lots of herby flavour that leans to more of a lunch vibe than brunch/brekkie imo. Still very delicious, will add salmon to this when I come back.

If you’re looking for somewhere incredible to eat this long weekend, are open all days across the Easter break ❤️

Ate at some of the beautiful places including:
🐟 for beautiful Thai inspired food in the most gorgeous space. Staff were beautiful and were super accommodating with bubs
🍰 Portuguese tarts from had the best pastry and a super soft and custardy filling

Their plant based bowls are my favorite way to fill up of fibre and antioxidant rich foods. Currently having a moment with the Middle Eastern bowl (it’s even better with falafel 🧆)

🥔 Truffle Hasselback Potatoes 🥔 Just a little something to brighten your Monday and what could be better than carbs?

Ingredients:
1kg potatoes, peeled
30g butter
1 tbsp truffle oil + extra to finish (I used )
1 sprig rosemary, leaves picked and chopped finely
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh thyme leaves to garnish (optional)

1. Slice the potatoes lengthways so that they are 1-2cm thick. Try to keep them the same width to they cook evenly.
2. Place the potatoes into a pot of salted boiling water and cook for 10 minutes until they start to soften. Drain and allow to cool slightly before handling.
3. Preheat oven to 200C while you prepare to hasselback the potatoes.
4. To hasselback the potatoes, place the potato with the flat side down on a board and make small even cuts into the potato. You want to just gently run your knife over the top of the potato to keep the slices together and to avoid cutting all the way through. I like to make about 10-15 cuts per potato for maximum crispiness.
5. Place the butter in the oven tray and place in the oven until melted. Place the potatoes into the tray, cut side down, then sprinkle with salt, pepper and rosemary. Drizzle with truffle oil.
6. Cook the potatoes for 30-35 minutes, then flip and cook for a further 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
7. Finish with an extra drizzle of Truffle Infused Australian Extra Virgin Olive Oil and fresh thyme leaves.
8. Enjoy!

💜Welcome home Violet Grace 💜

Our sweet little blossom took us by surprise and entered the world a little earlier than expected on the 15th of March. And even with a few sleepless nights, having her here has been nothing short of amazing.

This journey into motherhood has been wild, chaotic and surrounded with more love than I have ever known. Violet is so lucky to be surrounded by a community of friends, family, grand and great grandparents who adore her and seeing her grow each day has been life changing.
