Wild crafting Nettle 🌿 This is me 13 years ago deep in western NSW up a mountain at dawn collecting an abundance of Urtica dioica from a private pristine patch of stinging nettle for the original spring tonic ~ long before Heart Therapeutics began 💚
The joy and the stinging pain (IYKYK) this brought me was beyond amazing 🙌
Nettle has a long and rich history and is known primarily as a blood builder or blood tonic.
🌿It’s anti-inflammatory, with high levels of iron and other vitamins like vitamin c, cleansing and diuretic properties, plus it improves circulation and is recommended in convalescence , anaemia and pregnancy; it’s no wonder this herb is used so prolifically in tonic type remedies🌿
I love this herb fresh (as a soup) and dried ~ it’s affinity with skin and blood makes this an important herb in my formulations:

🌿 pregnancy and postpartum blends - Mother Lover and The Milk Maid
🌿Wildcrafting itself is also an incredible way to harvest herbs. If located in a pristine place and responsibly and sustainably harvested, the herbs that have naturalised here are strong and vital full of all the goodness.
It can be a fine line with wildcrafting🌿 so transparency, ethics and trust is always key to making sure no harm is caused to the planet or its people 🙏🏻🌿
