There's rosemary, that's for remembrance."
Shakespeare wrote that line in Hamlet, but he did not invent the idea. Ancient Greek scholars wore rosemary in their hair while they studied. Across European herbal tradition, it has been the herb of memory and clarity for more than two thousand years. Modern researchers have since found that even inhaling rosemary's aroma can support alertness and recall, and a cup of tea delivers exactly that, steam first 💚
That long history is the starting point for Brains, our hero blend for Mind Month 🧠
💚Rosemary is one of two memory herbs in the cup. The other is ginkgo, among the oldest medicinal plants on earth 💚Ginkgo has been used in Chinese medicine for centuries to support the mind and circulation, and the tree itself is a living fossil, almost unchanged for over two hundred million years. There is something fitting about a plant that ancient being the one we still reach for to keep a mind sharp.
The third leaf is lemon myrtle 💚Native to Australia and used by Aboriginal people for thousands of years, it holds one of the highest natural concentrations of citral of any plant. That is what gives Brains its bright, lemony lift, and the reason the cup is light and refreshing rather than heavy or bitter.
Brains was made to be the one you reach for 💚
