Still smiling after an incredible weekend at

We feel so lucky to be part of a community that shows up, cheers loud, and celebrates women in the water. Even luckier to have a place like Noosa Main Beach right on our doorstep.

Thanks to everyone who made it such a special day - we’re proud to support events that keep our local surf culture strong.

Please join us in welcoming Dr Riley Fogarty (Osteopath) to the Osteos of Noosa Team 🙌

“I’m an osteopath originally from Victoria, who has recently made the move to the coast. I have a strong interest in sports-related injuries and connective tissue conditions, and I’m passionate about supporting people through their individual recovery journeys.

I take a holistic, patient-centred approach to care, with a focus on helping people better understand their bodies and feel empowered throughout the rehabilitation process. My own experience with running has shaped the way I treat patients - reinforcing the importance of consistency, progression, and listening to the body, as well as recognising that recovery looks different for everyone.

Outside of the clinic, I keep active through running and regular gym training. I also have a passion for collecting vinyl records and sneakers, which reflects my appreciation for both movement and creativity.”

Riley has already settled in beautifully and brings a calm, professional presence that aligns perfectly with our clinic values. We’re thrilled to have him as part of the Osteos of Noosa team.⭐️

Jaw pain, clicking, clenching or headaches?
TMJ issues are rarely just about the jaw.

👉 Swipe to learn more about how we support TMJ (temporomandibular joint) dysfunction.

We take a global approach to help address the root causes - not just the symptoms.

That popping or cracking sound you sometimes hear during an osteopathic adjustment is not bones grinding or joints being “put back in.”

It’s actually a pressure change inside the joint.

Inside our joints is a fluid called synovial fluid, which contains dissolved gases (like oxygen and nitrogen). During a HVLA (High Velocity, Low Amplitude) technique, the joint is moved very quickly and gently, which causes:

🫧 A rapid drop in pressure
🫧 Gas bubbles to form in the fluid
🫧 A sound as the bubble forms (called tribonucleation)

That’s the “pop”.

What it’s NOT:

❌ Bones cracking
❌ Joints being forced into place
❌ Something “going out” and back in

Your joints are strong, stable structures.

Why can it feel relieving?

The HVLA movement can:
✔ Improve joint mobility
✔ Reduce muscle guarding
✔ Stimulate nervous system responses linked to pain reduction

Relief often comes from neurological and mechanical effects, not the sound itself.

Is the pop necessary?
Nope. You can get great results with or without a pop - it’s not the goal of treatment.
