It is often not the loudest or most certain women who come to circle.

Quite often it is the woman who has quietly known for a while that she needs a little space — even if she has not quite known how to ask for it.

A few hours away from the usual pace.

No pressure to perform.

No expectation to arrive a certain way.

Just a gentle afternoon where reflection, restorative practice, conversation, stillness and warmth are all allowed to sit side by side.

And very often, by the end of it, something has softened.

One of the lovely things women often say after these afternoons is that they leave feeling as though they have given themselves a little retreat.

Not because we disappear for days, but because even a few carefully held hours can soften something important.

There is time to settle.

Time to breathe.

Time to reflect quietly, share if it feels right, enjoy restorative practice, beautiful afternoon tea, and simply be in a space where nothing is expected except presence.

Sometimes that is all it takes to feel more reset than expected.

Our breath is the quiet companion that has been with us since the day we arrived here. 🌬

It asks for nothing, yet offers everything.

In moments of stress, fear, uncertainty or overwhelm, it is still there — steady, available, waiting.

A slow deep inhale through the nose.
A slower long exhale out of the nose.

Not to fix life.
Just to return to yourself.

Breath is often the first doorway back to calm, because before the mind settles, the body needs to know it is safe.

Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is pause long enough to feel one full breath arrive.

And begin there. 🌿

There is something quietly beautiful about what happens when women give themselves a few uninterrupted hours to slow down.

At our last Women’s Homecoming circle, women arrived not knowing one another and by the end of the afternoon they were hugging goodbye — softer, lighter, and genuinely grateful they had come.

These circles offer more than simply stepping onto a mat for a class. They create space for reflection, gentle conversation, restorative practice, beautiful food, thoughtful gifts, and the kind of connection that forms when life softens enough for women to truly arrive.

Many women leave saying it feels a little like giving themselves a mini-retreat — a few hours away from the usual pace, yet enough to feel reset in a very real way.

Next Sunday in York, we gather again 🌿

A calm afternoon of circle, reflection, restorative yoga, afternoon tea and thoughtful little touches that help women settle back into themselves.

A retreat day does not need to be full to be meaningful.

Some of the most important moments happen quietly — over breakfast by the water, during morning reflection, in conversation, in stillness, or simply sitting long enough to hear your own thoughts again.

There is gentle structure each day, but also space.

Space to rest.
Space to journal.
Space to breathe differently.
Space to notice what has been waiting underneath the noise of ordinary life.

This is not about escaping life.

It is about stepping back enough to return to it more clearly.

Not every woman who needs rest knows how to choose it straight away.

Sometimes we keep going because it feels easier to continue than to pause.

But the nervous system notices everything — the pace, the pressure, the constant holding.

This next Women’s Homecoming Circle is centred around **Rest & Nervous System Reset** 🌿

A few gentle hours to step out of doing, soften the shoulders, breathe more deeply, and return to yourself in good company.

No pressure.
No performance.
Just a calm space to arrive exactly as you are.

Sometimes women know they need space before they allow themselves to take it.

They feel the tiredness.
They notice the noise.
They sense that something in them would soften if they stepped away for a while.

And still, they wait.

Not because they don’t want it — but because permission can take time.

Journey of the Soul in Bali is drawing closer now, and I’m quietly looking forward to the women who will gather there.

A week to step out of the everyday, breathe differently, reflect deeply, and return to yourself with greater clarity.

If Bali has been sitting quietly in your thoughts, trust that there may be a reason for that 🌿

A small number of places remain. Message me if you’d like the details.

Women’s Homecoming was created as a calm, grounded space for women to come home to themselves.

Not through pressure.
Not through fixing.
Not through needing to become something else.

Simply through slowing down enough to hear what is already there.

Again and again, I see what happens when women are given a space that asks nothing from them except presence.

Shoulders soften.
Breathing changes.
Something settles.

Our next circle in York continues that gentle work — this time centred around **Rest & Nervous System Reset** 🌿

A few hours to step out of the noise and return to yourself.

I’m learning that growth does not always have to feel dramatic.

Sometimes it looks like:

sending the email
asking the question
holding the boundary
making the decision
and then going to bed peacefully.

A quieter kind of self-trust.

Less urgency.
Less second-guessing.
More staying with myself while life rearranges.

That kind of change is easy to miss.

But it changes everything.

The more I soften, the clearer everything becomes.

Sometimes the women who need this most
are the ones who tell themselves:

“I’ll do it later.”
“When life settles down.”
“When everyone else is okay.”
“When it feels more convenient.”

But what I know for sure is this:

There is never a perfect time to return to yourself.

There is only the moment you decide
you matter too.

This retreat isn’t about escaping life.

It’s about remembering who you are
when the noise softens enough to hear yourself again.

If Bali has been quietly calling you…
perhaps this is why. 🌿
