✔ And the stuff that only you know

A handover tool for anyone with:
✔ Disability
✔ Ageing-related needs
✔ Complex needs
✔ Mental Health needs .. and anyone is between. Whether you’re planning ahead, managing everyday support, or making plans for the unplanned, Support Plus ensures the person you care for is supported - no matter if the primary caregiver is unavailable weather for a day, a week or an extended period of time.

This long weekend looks different for everyone.

For some, it’s a chance to slow down.
For others, care continues as usual.

If you get a moment to take a break, we hope you do.
And if not, please know the role you play every day does not go unnoticed. 💜

So care continues, even when you’re not there.

Future planning is about making sure someone else has the information they need to step in and provide consistent care.

It captures routines, preferences, and support networks so nothing is lost if circumstances change.

It doesn’t need to be done all at once, starting small is enough.

Future planning can feel like a lot.

But it doesn’t have to be.

Start small.
That’s enough. 💜

This month’s brain break recommendation 🎧

If you’ve got a little time and need something light, we’re loving the Toni and Ryan Podcast - Webby’s Voting Scandal.

It’s chaotic, funny, and easy listening, perfect for those moments when you want something on in the background without needing to concentrate too hard.

People see the care.

They don’t see the thinking, the organising, the remembering, all the things that make it work.

Future planning is about making sure that knowledge isn’t lost.

So if something changes, care can continue. 💜

What is future planning?

It’s not about complex documents or having everything figured out.

Future planning is simply making sure someone else could step in if needed.

It’s about capturing the routines, preferences, and support networks that already exist - so nothing is lost if circumstances change.

A small step today can make a big difference later.

24/03/2026

As a carer, if you weren’t available tomorrow, could someone else step in?

Future planning is about making sure they can.

It involves capturing routines, preferences, and key information so care can continue without disruption.

It doesn’t need to be done all at once, starting with one small step is enough.

If you’ve got a few minutes, this is your gentle reminder to check that your unpaid carers and support network are current.

We hear the phrase future planning a lot… but what does it actually mean?

For many carers, it’s much simpler than it sounds.

Future planning is really about making sure that if someone ever needed to step in and help, they would know what to do.

Because so much of caregiving lives in the everyday details, the routines, the preferences, the support networks, and the little things that make someone feel comfortable and understood.

Capturing that knowledge means that if something unexpected happens, the person you care for can still feel supported.

And that’s what planning for the future is really about. 💜

When you hear future planning, what comes to mind?

For many people it’s legal documents.

But for carers, it’s often the everyday knowledge that matters most:

Morning routines
Food preferences
Medication reminders
What helps on a bad day

Because good care is built on the little details. 💜

Most carers are a walking Wikipedia.

You know the routines.
The preferences.
The medications.
The little things that make a big difference.

But all that knowledge often lives in your head.

Future planning simply means putting that information somewhere safe, so if someone ever needed to step in, they wouldn’t be starting from scratch.

Because the knowledge carers hold every day is incredibly valuable. 💜

Carers - a quick question.

If someone needed to step in and help tomorrow… would they know what to do?

So much of caregiving lives in the small details we carry every day.

The routines.
The likes and dislikes.
The things that make someone feel like themselves.

Future planning isn’t about expecting the worst. It’s about making sure support can continue if you ever need a hand.

And we’re here to help make that easier. 💜
