During painting time today, Shahel showed remarkable creativity and initiative. While exploring the paint area, he suddenly said with excitement, “Teacher, come! Let me show you something!”
He then asked for some leaves and explained that he wanted to use them as stencils to make leaf prints. Once he received the leaves, he carefully placed them on his paper, gently brushed paint over them, and proudly lifted them to reveal beautiful leaf patterns.
Shahel was fascinated by the outcome — he smiled widely and said, “Look! The leaf came out!” He experimented with different leaves, colours, and brush movements to see how the shapes and textures changed. His ability to plan, experiment, and adapt his idea showed a wonderful level of thinking and creativity for his age.
The activity quickly turned into a meaningful art-and-nature exploration where Shahel not only expressed his imagination but also developed his understanding of patterns, textures, and cause and effect.
