Hey everyone, this October is Mental Health Month and we wanted to share how important it is to keep track of your personal wellbeing, mental health is a lot harder to keep track of compared to physical health but the consequences of not looking after it can be just as devastating. this month you should take some time to refelct on how things are going and if there are any ways you can improve your mental health. All the best from us here at Correct Connect and wishing everyone a happy Mental Health Month.

We’re proud. We’re excited. We’re officially a Registered NDIS Provider!

What started as a small, locally owned business with a big heart has grown into something truly powerful — a service dedicated to creating real change and opening doors for people living with disability in our community.

Becoming an NDIS provider isn’t just a milestone.
✨ It’s a promise.
✨ It’s a commitment to inclusion, dignity, and empowerment.
✨ It’s our way of saying everyone deserves support, opportunity, and to feel seen.

To our team, our clients, and our community — thank you for believing in the work we do. This moment belongs to all of us.

And we’re just getting started....

Here’s to building a future that’s inclusive, person-led, and full of possibilities. 💫

Thank you for sharing Down Syndrome Australia!! They write:

Big news from Adidas! They are making a special performance shoe just for people with Down syndrome. It’s the first time this has been done.

They are working with athletes like Chris Nikic, the first person with Down syndrome to finish an Ironman, to design and test the shoes. These will fit wider toes and narrow heels, which many people with Down syndrome need.

This is a great step for inclusion. It will help people with Down syndrome stay healthy, comfortable and active.

The shoes will be available in 2026. Watch the video to find out more.

NDIS Reassessments Are Happening Everywhere — Have Your Say!

Every week, thousands of families are receiving NDIS eligibility reassessment letters. Together, we can shine a light on what’s really happening across the country and push for a fair, transparent process that ensures children and young people don’t lose the vital support they need.

Your voice does make a difference. This organisation is actively working to protect some of the most vulnerable members of our community—but they need your help to make sure no one is left behind.

Take just a few minutes to share your experience and help drive meaningful change.

At Correct Connect we understand just how important it is to make sure that both in real life and over the internet there needs to be accessibility options to allow everyone to have the fair chance to participate in the community and access services. That is why we want to promote Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD). There are many areas where accessibility is forgotten and GAAD’s goal is to bring accessibility to the front of everyone’s attention. Just like with the relaunch of our website we have made steps to improve on high colour contrasting for easy to read text and the use of audio descriptions for our pages for individuals who might be visually impaired. We want to challenge other supports in the community to review and consider if there are any other areas where they might be able to improve their accessibility, for instance we have also added an online booking option for individuals who might feel uncomfortable calling a stranger over the phone for the first time or people who are too busy during normal business hours. We want to hear from the community what steps has a business taken to help you access their services or what you as a business are doing to improve your accessibility to your customers, I hope you all have a lovely GAAD.

for more information on GAAD click the links below

Thursday, May 15, 2025, help us celebrate the 14th Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD)! The purpose of GAAD is to get everyone talking, thinking and learning about digital access and inclusion, and the more than One Billion people with disabilities/impairments.
