For anyone visiting the stunning Burragorang Valley Lookout, the Burra Bakery in Oakdale township is a must-stop spot. They offer delicious pastries, pies and cakes—not to mention their beautiful, fragrant bread that tastes as good as it smells. The coffee is great too.

Another wonderful reason to visit the beautiful Oakdale area!

A huge thank you to the residents at Oakdale Residential Village who have done a fantastic job with their gardens. They look wonderful and reflects the pride they have in their own gardens and the community within which they live.

We are currently planning a community vegetable and herb garden, which will provide residents so inclined an opportunity to grow their own produce.

There's nothing like a lovingly restored motor vehicle to capture the interest of residents and visitors to Oakdale Residential Village.
This beauty was restored by Gary, our resident caretaker, a project that commenced during Covid and is now almost complete. The 1970 Dodge was left abandoned on a rural property, until discovered by Gary. So commenced the painstaking task of bringing the Dodge back to its former glory. Fortunately, Gary knows his way around motor vehicles, having worked around trucks and cars all his life. Just as important was Gary’s determination and the patience of his supporting wife Fiona to see the job through. While Gary was working on the Dodge, Fiona was establishing a beautiful garden with a fantastic display of roses.

We're excited to announce the upcoming release of two new home designs, only available at the Oakdale Residential Village. Plans to remediate the entrance to the Village are progressing well. Work to demolish the old shop and residence, plus the removal of underground storage tanks, has now been completed. The contractors (Australian Environmental Services) did a great job, overcoming a number of obstacles including the discovery of asbestos and an additional underground storage tank below the house once it was demolished.

We are hosting an Information Day on Thursday 17th July from 10.00am to 2.00pm. This will provide visitors with a rundown on future development of Oakdale Residential Village. Everyone is welcome to attend, further details will be provided in the coming weeks.

Work is finally underway to demolish the old shop and residence at the front of the Village. Obsolete underground fuel tanks are also being removed. The entrance will look entirely different once the works are completed (see artist depiction attached). Demolition and clean-up of the area is expected to be completed by the end of March.
Stay tuned for further announcements as redevelopment of the Village continues.
