On Tuesday, 25th November, we will be visiting the iconic Amusu Theatre, a heritage-listed cinema located in the central west. Designed by Allan Tom and built in 1936 by Jim Fullerton, it is also known as Amusu Cinema. With only 35 days until Christmas (who's counting, lol), we thought it fitting to screen 'The Elf'

11 November marks the anniversary of the Armistice that ended fighting with Germany in World War I.

Every year at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, millions around the world pause in silence to remember the sacrifices many have made so we can enjoy life today.

You can still make a difference by donating toys to children from families and situations in need. Today, I picked up a few items.

My thanks go to the thoughtful lady who also contributed puzzles and board games.

Ill be handing the toys over to the organisation by the first week of December for then to allocate out to kids and families

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF SIGN LANGUAGE

The right to sign language is essential for deaf individuals to fully enjoy their human rights. As we consider the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, we acknowledge the progress achieved and the challenges that persist in ensuring equality for all. Today, we invite you to devote time to learning a single sign or, better still, learning to sign your name.
Do you know that in the deaf community, deaf individuals have a personalized sign for their name?
A few months ago, I volunteered my time over several weeks, instructing a group in the fundamentals of sign language and essential knowledge about deaf communities.
