INTERNATIONAL DAY OF SIGN LANGUAGE

The right to sign language is essential for deaf individuals to fully enjoy their human rights. As we consider the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, we acknowledge the progress achieved and the challenges that persist in ensuring equality for all. Today, we invite you to devote time to learning a single sign or, better still, learning to sign your name.
Do you know that in the deaf community, deaf individuals have a personalized sign for their name?
A few months ago, I volunteered my time over several weeks, instructing a group in the fundamentals of sign language and essential knowledge about deaf communities.

We extend our gratitude to Capacity Pathways for the gift bags presented to us last week at the expo. Following our enrollment in the Capacity Pathways program, we have commenced working through various learning modules, which enables us to explore topics in greater depth, enhance our capacities, and expand our knowledge and understanding in different areas. We have established a schedule to ensure the continued completion of the learning modules. Today's group discussion centered on The Real Life modules, a vital component of the Capacity Pathways learning tools. We delved into Understanding Your Dreams, Goals, and Aspirations. A brief video introduction preceded Self-Reflection, where we examined our individual priorities, pinpointed our passions, long-term aspirations, and areas requiring support.
This was followed by Conversations focused on acknowledging our dreams, aspirations, and goals, and the importance of setting smaller objectives to achieve larger goals.
Furthermore, we explored the benefits of Visual Aids, such as vision boards, as a potent reminder of our goals and future vision. Capacity Pathways
