Egg quality is one of the most important factors that determines whether an embryo will fertilise, develop, implant, and result in a healthy pregnancy.

The good news? The quality of your eggs isn’t fixed. It's influenced by how well it grows and matures in the 90 days before it ovulates.

Diet and lifestyle can make a real difference during this time.

What hurt's egg quality?

❌ Stress
❌ Poor sleep
❌ Environmental toxins
❌ Nutrient deficiencies
❌ Smoking, alcohol, and excessive exercise

What if stress isn’t the reason you’re not getting pregnant - but one of the silent contributors making it harder than it needs to be?

Most women I work with are already doing so much - eating better, tracking ovulation, managing supplements, even cutting out coffee. ☕️

But despite these things, they're still not seeing results.

And so that nagging feeling gets louder... 'what am I missing?'

That’s where The Hijacker comes in.

She represents a dysregulated nervous system - which is when your body is stuck in a fight-or-flight stress response that it can't shut off easily.

This creates an internal state that signals to your reproductive system: Now's not the safest time for pregnancy.

On its own it might not be impacting your fertility significantly, but paired with other fertility obstacles - like inflammation, nutrient deficiencies, hormone imbalances or gut issues, it can tip the scales.

Could a simple nutrient deficiency be impacting your fertility? ☀️

Vitamin D is the #1 nutrient deficiency I see in my clients, yet it’s rarely tested for EVEN THOUGH it’s absolutely crucial for reproductive health.

In fact it influences a number of organs and systems involved in fertility including the:

✅ Ovaries
✅ Te**es
✅ Uterine lining
✅ Placenta
✅ Pancreas (insulin secretion / PCOS)
✅ Immune System (autoimmunity / chronic inflammation)

👩‍⚕️ For Women, low vitamin D levels are associated with:

- Impaired fertility
- Polycystic o***y syndrome
- Lower IVF success (in some studies)
- Higher rates of preterm birth
- Preeclampsia (high blood pressure in pregnancy)
- Gestational diabetes.

🧔 For Men, adequate vitamin D is associated with improved:

- Testosterone levels
- S***m motility (movement)
- S***m morphology (shape)

That’s why for fertility, “sufficient” isn’t enough. I like to see levels at least at 100 nmol/L (40 ng/mL) to truly support egg and s***m health.

🌱 But there’s more to the story…

Vitamin D is only one of many nutrient deficiencies that can quietly sabotage fertility.
