Taking up Clinical Pilates in 2026? Here's a beginner side lying foot in strap series 💪🏽

Side lying foot in strap is a fantastic way to strengthen the gluteal and hamstring muscles! 🍑

Here are some of Alyssa’s top tips when completing this series:
• Ensure your bottom is wiggled right back to the end of the carriage to assist with correct alignment
• Ensure that you sweep your top leg all the way back, in-line with hips (think about reaching to the back of the foot bar)
• To help activate the hamstrings, flex the foot (toes towards nose) as you sweep the top leg back

That in-between Christmas and New Year feeling 🎄✨
when routines are loose, we're having plenty of well-deserved rest and we're not entirely sure what day it is...
(It's Sunday)

Whether you are missing your Pilates Classes or your body just feels a little stiff, this simple mat Pilates flow is a gentle way to reconnect with your body, ease tension, and get moving again - no pressure, no intensity, just purposeful movement.

A few minutes is all it takes - join in and give your body a little movement. Let us know how you feel after in the comments.

10 reps per exercise 👇✔️
Abdominal curl in table top
Single leg toe tap
Double leg extension knee tucks
Leg flutters
Glute bridge
Glute bridge hold with Single leg marches (10 each side - you can mention this or keep total as 10)
Single leg bridge with leg extension and sweep
Bridge pulses with leg extension
Kneeling plank shoulder taps (10 each side - you can mention this or keep total as 10)
Kneeling Push ups
Split squat
Split squat with calf raise
Drinking bird to high knee
Add in lift and lower
Continuous lift and lower
Pike to high plank
Mountain climber to single leg pike
Continuous mountain climbers

Stretches/mobility:
Half kneeling hip flexor stretch with overhead reach
Alternating hamstring stretch to hip flexor stretch
Childs pose to cobra
