Today I pause to remember the two police officers who were tragically killed in the line of duty. We so often take for granted the safety and protection they give us every single day. No one should ever leave home for work and not return to their families.

Rest in peace. You gave your lives to keep us safe. My heartfelt condolences go out to your families, and I am also keeping in my thoughts the officer who was injured and is now recovering in hospital.
