A little insight into my brain.

Don't get me wrong. I know my worth. I know I'm worth it šŸ’šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø I'm damn good at my job.

I just dont like charging for it lol. It feels icky charging people to access something I see as essential care.

Im frustrated.

I'm frustrated because women feel they need to do this.

Im frustrated that women don't feel like they can talk with their partners about it.

I'm frustrated that women feel obligated to do something to make someone else happy, at their own expense.

I'm frustrated that women have normalised it for themselves.

I'm frustrated women aren't speaking up to ANYONE about this.

I'm frustrated that society have made women feel they need to put their needs so low on the list, that they will experience actual pain, before saying no and communicating.

HELP IS OUT THERE!

DM me, explain your symptoms, and I'll help you find someone to help šŸ’œ

Yeah girl your 😺 is tight.

And that isn't a good thing, trust me šŸ™ƒ

Hi I'm Haydie, a women's health myotherapist, and I'm helping women everyday manage their pelvic pain.

And a common driver of pelvic pain is actually pelvic floor OVERACTIVITY.

There can be plenty of reasons for this, that isn't just pregnancy and birth. Abdominal scarring, over training and anxiety can all play a role too.

So, if your ready to zoom out to see the bigger picture around your pain, follow , my DMs are always open!

Some very well meaning people will tell you to love your beautiful c section scar because it saved your life, or bought your baby into the world. Or that you need to be proud of your scar because it shows how strong you are.

And that's fine if you feel those things. And its also fine if those phrases make you wanna puke.

You might not be there, not ready love your scar. You might even just think about your scar, and your heart begins to race.

You don't have to try and force yourself to love it. So aim for something more manageable.
Going from 0 to 100 feels impossible.

Start with one. You might get to 100. But there's no rule that you have to either.

If you're ready to start accepting and reconnecting to your belly after birthing your baby, reach out and I can help gently guide you, with whatever feels comfortable for you.

During our csection scar release session we usually do hands on scar work. But we dont have to, there's so much more to it than focusing on the scar. We go at your pace.

Now this IS an over simplified version.

And to be fair - in a stretch you are lengthening the tissue in the moment, but it doesnt necessarily give any lasting change.

Strengthening you muscles through a safe range of movement, and strengthening the stability of the joints is what's going to really improve your mobility.

With strength and stability your nervous system can allow you to move into the range, without holding back to prevent injuries.

The exception with this is if your bod is hypermobile. That's a whole other question. The answer is still strength and stability though haha šŸ˜

THIS IS WILD 🤯

You are the expert in you body, no one has the information you do.

Learning to listen to your body is important. This can be hard after years of disconnect.

Whether you are trying to conceive or not, knowing more about not just your cycles, but your hormones in general, through every phase of life, gives us so much insight.

Study referenced šŸ‘‡

Now there can be some many factors effecting cycle length. But everyone's normal is different!

Not only is this a generic blanket recommendation, that doesnt take into account the nuance of your body, or what is heavy for you - it's actually just plain wrong šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

Exercising in pregnancy, and maintaining your muscle mass in particular, has been shown time and time again to improve your chances of a healthy pregnancy.

- Improved mental health.
- Reduced risk of pre eclampsia.
- Reduced risk of gestional diabetes.
- Increased endurance for labour and birth.
- Better recovery postpartum.

The list goes on.

I'm not saying go from couch potato to powerlifter by 9 months pregnant. But don't be scared of exercise, including weight training while pregnant.

I honestly cackled at my doctor when she said this to me after confirming my pregnancy.

Signed a mum of two, who pulled a PB deadlift at 6 weeks pregnant, and was in the gym the day her waters broke.

(^^ they are not credentials - but I have those too 🤣)
