Important to note that strength in pelvic floor and core is reflected in ability to relax and contract these muscle groups 💪

A muscle needs to be able to relax and contract to work well.

The benefits of pelvic floor and core muscle strength are endless.

Maintaining strong pelvic floor and core muscle groups means we move better, feel better and have a better quality of life ✨🌈💪💜

The same exercise isn't for everyone...

🤸‍♀️ In nearly every exercise class you attend, there will be a variety of people doing a variety of different movements.

🫶 It would actually be more concerning if everybody was moving in the exact same way.

🤰During pregnant and postnatal there are a range of individualised considerations that will change how a skilled trainer provides modifications.

🧐For example- wrist pain would require alternatives, pelvic floor dysfunction will need modifications. You're not getting any less of a workout, you're working to your body 💪

🌈 It is a rare day when our whole group does the same movement at the same time and that is just perfect

June is pelvic organ prolapse (POP) awareness month

Did you know?

🫶 POP is COMMON- up to 50% of women are affected and 1 in 9 needing surgery for prolapse in their lifetime

🌻 POP will not go aware if you ignore it- help is available (women's health physio, GP, 👋)

🌈 POP is caused through damage to ligaments and muscles supporting pelvic organs- think of things that cause additional pressure on pelvic organs like pregnancy & birth, chronic cough, heavy lifting, constipation
