Women with Disabilities ACT

Women with Disabilities ACT WWDACT is a systemic advocacy organisation for women, non-binary and gender diverse people in the ACT.

We work in the areas of policy, systemic advocacy and community engagement. WWDACT follows a human rights philosophy, based on the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and the Convention on the Elimination of (All Forms Of) Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). We work with government and non-government organisations to improve the status and lives of women with disabilities in the ACT and surrounding region.

Complete the survey to tell us what events you want WWDACT to run this year!

The 'Our Autonomy' Project has been going for more than a year now. The Engagement Team at WWDACT have been working hard to put on the events that you want to see and we want to continue to put on events that you can get excited about.

Find the survey here https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Z2PC9FY or go to our website www.wwdact.org.au and search "survey" to find more information.

If you would like to fill out this survey through alternative methods (phone call, paper copy, in a meeting), email community@wwdact.org.au and we will work with you to fill it out. Please be aware, we are a part-time office of varying capacity so it can take some time for us to get back to you.

Image description: White text inside black rectangles that reads "Inform 2026's WWDACT events. Complete the 2026 'Our Autonomy' Survey. We want to put on events you can get excited about. Our CEO Kat Reed is speaking at Women Unlimited Leadership Summit is tomorrow (18th Feb) - joining a list of speakers that includes Kamala Harris and Leigh Sales! The theme this year is Redefining Possibilities; women, non binary & gender diverse people in leadership are being challenged to expand their vision & explore new ways of thinking about leadership in a world where boundaries are constantly shifting.

Kat has been advocating for the rights of people of colour, q***r people, and people with disability since they were 17 years old, holding several leadership positions culminating in their position here at WWDACT. They are speaking on a panel with other ACT leaders about leading with an intersectional lens, exploring embracing intersectionality in gender equity efforts, lived experience, inclusion, and the power of representation in workplace cultures.
