Last night Laura and I attended the local business awards as finalists. As we have been operating for less then 2 years we are considered a 'new business' and therefore meant we were not only up against other disability providers, but also all new business (approx 15 in our category as finalists).
I think I'm still in shock, but we took out the category and won 🎉

1st and foremost I want to thank all of our participants, some have been there from day 1 and I thank you all for your support and putting your trust in us.

2nd, without Laura and the support of my family and friends (especially my husband) we could not provide the support to our participants that we do.

We have also welcomed Georgia to the team and she will be a great assest to our participants moving forward ad well. 😊

During the week I met with Terence from Get Picked Up, and working in a people based industry, getting to know services face to face and building relationships with providers I believe is essential!

What a unique and amazing service they offer! If you are someone that needs transport to get to and from appointments, day service, or even to see family, but need that extra support with getting there this is the service for you! They also have wheelchair accessible vehicles, which means that you are not having to wait around hoping your taxi turns up, and best of all as they only provide the transport side of things, if you need to take a worker with you, no problems as it would not be a duplicate of supports. 😊

We did it again!
Thank you to each and every one of our participants that puts their trust in us, we love our job because of you all. The fact that no day is the same, and that we have challenges and barriers that we are helping to break down on a daily basis is why we do what we do.

A huge thank you to Laura Dawson because once again without you, I could not have the business running to the capacity that it is. You provide a high quality of care to all our participants, and can't wait to see you grow in the company along side me. X

On another note, as I move from sole trader to company, our name for our Support Coordination and PRC will be changing to Holistic Coordination 😊
Topshelf Care & Support will continue running, however, in a different capacity .... so stay tuned on things to come 🤗

Last night we had the Local Business awards and we were a finalist under the category of New Business .... unfortunately we were also up against Squinters Brewing Co (which we love) who took it out.
Having started the business in only February, it was an honour to make it to the finalist stage.

So thank you to all our participants. Laura and I love working with each and everyone of you.

Also a big shout out to Robin from Phenomenal Healthcare Australia for coming and supporting us, and we hope to see you guys there next year too. 😊

Super excited to be heading into a planning day with LMR Therapies and Mibayn Disability Services, to be able to organise to go and visit Mob of regional and remote Aboriginal communities to assist them with getting onto the NDIS, and providing therapeutic supports 😍

How very exciting 🤗
It was only February that I took the steps to start my very own Coordination business and wow ... I never thought that I would be here in such a short time!
