🎉 Celebrating 15 Years of Heartfelt Care! ❤️

This year, Penrith Cardiology proudly marks its 15th anniversary, and we’re honoured to have been your trusted partner in cardiovascular health across the Nepean Valley, Blue Mountains, and beyond. From our humble beginnings in a renovated 1950s cottage to our modern, purpose-built centre on Evan Street, our commitment to “state‑of‑the‑heart” care has only grown stronger.

Over the years, our dedicated team—led by Principal Cardiologist Dr Hisham (Sam) Hallani and Practice Manager Dr Mervat Hallani, alongside Dr Tony Donald, Dr Clyne Fernandes, Dr Faraz Pathan, Dr Shanthosh Sivapathan, Dr Juliana Kanawati, and Dr Shahab Pathan—has delivered expert cardiac consultations, in‑house diagnostics, and in-hospital services in collaboration with Nepean Public & Private Hospitals.

To every patient, family member, referring GP, and staff member—thank you for being part of our journey. We remain dedicated to nurturing your heart health with compassion and expertise.

Here’s to many more years of caring for the heart of our community, and to the place where every beat matters! 💗

If you see a hidden disability sunflower lanyard or pin🌻💚🌻💚 here’s what it means and what to do when you see it…

Not everyone takes on information in the same way, which is why it's important for all of us to be aware of who we are talking to and think about the best way for us to make them feel heard and supported.

We’ve put together some resources to help you spot the signs your neurodivergent friends, family members or colleagues might be struggling and practical tips about how to support them.

Research has shown that autistic and other neurodivergent people are more likely to experience anxiety and depression and be at risk of self-harm and su***de.

By meaningfully connecting and lending support, we can help those we care about long before they're in crisis.

These resources were developed by the Su***de Response Project, through a co-design with neurodivergent people with lived experience of su***de, their families and those who support them.

Today is World Mental Health Day and the message this year is: Awareness. Belonging. Connection.

It’s a call to action for us to be aware of our mental health and wellbeing, and the challenges those around us are facing.

A reminder to show someone they belong, that they’re safe, supported and not alone, and an opportunity to connect with those you care about - friends, family and colleagues - and ask ‘are you OK?’.

Today, May 26th is National Sorry Day. We acknowledge the pain and suffering inflicted on our First Nations People and we honour the survivors of the stolen generation. We recognise the painful history, the moments of resilience, the cultural strength and the power of saying sorry. Be better, do better.
