🌱 What is a Mental Health Care Plan?🌱

A Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) is a plan developed with your GP to support you in managing mental health challenges like anxiety, depression, or stress. It outlines treatment options, goals, and available support services. With this plan, you can access Medicare rebates for up to 10 individual and 10 group psychology sessions each year, reducing the cost of therapy.

**Do You Need a MHCP to Access Psychology Sessions?**

No, you don't need one to book an appointment with a psychologist. However, if you want to access the Medicare rebates for therapy sessions, a MHCP from your GP can help.

**Are You Eligible for One?**
You may be eligible for a MHCP if you have a mental health condition, like anxiety or depression, and are looking for professional support. It’s a good idea to discuss with your GP whether it’s right for you.

**How to Get a Mental Health Treatment Plan:**
Consult Your GP: Talk about your mental health with your GP,
then they will assess if a treatment plan is appropriate for you. If suitable, your GP will develop the plan and may refer you to mental health professionals.
