Lucie Anderson, UWA Doctor of Optometry student, and Jingyi Chen, UWA Optometry academic and PhD Candidate, recently attended the 17th National Rural Health Conference hosted by the National Rural Health Alliance. Jingyi Chen presented on behalf of Jessica Rae, A/Prof Khyber Alam, and the Western NSW Eye Health Partnership, showcasing the collaboration between Aboriginal-led health services and local organisations to improve eye health outcomes in Western NSW.

Lucie Anderson described the conference as an extremely insightful experience that taught her about the challenges of rural health, and felt it was a great opportunity to learn about innovative proposed solutions. Lucie Anderson and Jingyi Chen extend their gratitude to Optometry Western Australia and Optometry Australia for their support in attending the conference.
