Burnout isn’t just about being “tired” - it can affect your body, mind, and motivation in ways that are hard to explain.

If you’ve been feeling flat, exhausted, or emotionally checked out, it might be burnout.

In this post, we break down a few common signs to look out for.

And remember - recognising burnout is the first step toward recovering from it.

You don’t have to push through alone.

If this resonates, talking to your GP or a psychologist would be a good next step.

Feeling more tired than usual lately?

It’s not just you - shorter days, getting out and moving less, and colder weather can all impact our energy levels, mood, and motivation.

Sometimes, winter fatigue is simply your body asking for rest. Other times, it might be a sign to check in on your mental health.

If the heaviness sticks around, talking to your GP or a psychologist can help you understand what’s going on and how to manage it.

If you’re finding things a little harder this winter, you’re not alone — and support is available.
To speak with one of our psychologists, call 9456 0411 or fill out a new enquiry form on our website https://www.amherstpsychology.com.au/newclient.

You don’t need to wait for things to get “bad enough” before reaching out for support.

If you’re wondering whether therapy might help, that in itself might be a sign that now is a good time to find out.

Therapy can help you start feeling more grounded, understood, and clear about what’s next.

We’re ready to support you when the time feels right.

We have appointment availability with several of our psychologists this month. Give us a call on (08) 9456 0411 or fill out a patient enquiry form to book in today -https://www.amherstpsychology.com.au/newclient

Thanks to everyone who came to the Business in Gosnells (BiG) networking event at our Canning Vale office. It was great to show people around the space and have open conversations about neurodiversity in the workplace!

We shared practical ways to support neurodivergent colleagues and build more inclusive workplaces, and really valued the chance to connect with so many local businesses.

These events give local businesses a chance to connect, learn more about others in the area, and explore potential collaborations. Each BiG event is hosted by a different business within the City of Gosnells, rotating across suburbs and industries to highlight the diversity of our local business community.

A big thank you to the of Gosnells for choosing us to host last month’s event!

Thinking about having an assessment but not sure what to expect?
We’re here to guide you through a neuro-affirming, step-by-step process to help you better understand yourself or your child - whether it’s ADHD, autism, or something else.

Here’s what to expect:
✔️ Warm and welcoming initial consult to understand your concerns
✔️ Comprehensive assessment tailored to your needs
✔️ Written report and a clear and compassionate feedback session

If you’re not sure which assessment is right for you, you’re welcome to book an initial consultation. Our psychologists will take the time to understand your needs and help you explore the options.

We currently have availability in July and August - if it’s been on your mind, now’s a great time to take that next step!
