The research is being conducted by our PhD student Dr Siu Min Tay — a paediatrician and 2025 Telethon7 Perth Trust Research Fellow — with the aim to understand what types of nutritional support you would find most helpful. It will also explore ways to optimise nutrition for these children.

Introducing two NEW services at CliniKids – cognitive and functional capacity assessments!

✨ A cognitive assessment is a valuable tool to better understand how a child thinks, learns, and processes information. These assessments can help identify learning difficulties, cognitive strengths, or areas where a child may need extra support.

At CliniKids, cognitive assessments are available for children aged 6 to 9 years, who are at a conversational level of communication.

✨ We also offer functional capacity assessments for young children, particularly those with autism, to understand the picture of abilities and support needs.

This assessment is designed to evaluate a child’s functional abilities across key areas of daily living, communication, social interaction, and play to ensure they receive the right level of support, resources, and funding to achieve their goals.
