ok so I want to touch on the common misconceptions that surround our industry.
1. colonics make your bowel lazy
2. We wash out all the good bacteria
3. Its dangerous
Some of these you may of heard from google, doctors, medical professionals, therapists, trainers, friends and family.
So lets discuss, as with everything I am open to educating you guys and here to replace them with our industry standards, training and truth.
The facts about colonics.
1. "making the bowel lazy"
When you come for a colonic your bowel is being stimulated, like a gym workout for the inside (colon). So if you have a lazy bowel, constipated or stressed and holding on. Then hydrating the colon and making it want to respond by using its own peristalsis is NOT going to make it lazy! It actually wakes it up, hydrates, softens and loosens everything. This is NOT creating a dependency effect. Like saying going to the gym makes your muscles dependent on a resistance machine, it makes them respond more efficiently, tones them, strengthens them!!! win win.
2. "We wash out all the good bacteria" ok so we are washing your colon! truth! We are disturbing the environment! truth! But... the question is your why! why are YOU having a colonic in the first place? You are having it to improve your overall health system not just the immediate area (colon). This means we have to deplete the good for the bad to grow more of the good stuff. Its a fast way to get all the pathogens, toxic waste, micro-organisms that are creating an issue with you.
3. Its dangerous!
Colon hydrotherapy machines are safe and FDA approved. We go over a health screen check before your colonic to ensure you are safe. The pressure stays below 150milibar that's much lower than autogenous pressure of defecation. But if in doubt you can always get a colonoscopy first.
