EFT is your 'One Stop Shop' towards maximising your potential and being all that you can be...

Essentially, EFT works on anything that requires a change in thought processes and the operation of un-useful belief systems within the unconscious mind. Eliminate ‘self-sabotage’ and regain your Personal Power. Finally rid yourself of the beliefs that drive the aspects of your daily life that don’t wo

rk for you. This often shows up as dysfunctional or unsatisfactory day-to -day interactions with others in your domestic and work environments. Celebrate your ability to enjoy your life and reach your full potential. I have been an Advanced EFT Practitioner for several years now and I am blessed to have worked with so many great clients. EFT is truly the best 'tool' to help create positive change.

Have you tried EFT Tapping for Sleep?

One open-label randomized controlled trial study conducted at El-Abbasia Mental Hospital and Osana family wellness elderly nursing home at Maadi, Cairo, included 60 elderly patients suffering insomnia sleep problems - they randomized into two equal groups: one group received a Sleep Hygiene Education (SHE) intervention, the other had a form of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) adapted for use with insomnia (EFT-I). A self-administered questionnaire with tools for sleep quality (Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index [PSQI]), depression, and life satisfaction was used to collect data. The fieldwork was from January to March 2021. The two groups had equal median age (70 years), and almost similar gender and place of residence distribution. After the intervention, 73.3% of the EFT group had good sleep quality, compared to 100.0% in the SHE group (P = 0.005); the median score of depression (3.00) was higher in the EFT group compared with 0.00 in the SHE group (P < 0.001); as for life satisfaction, the difference was not statistically significant. The multivariate analyses identified the study intervention as the main statistically significant negative predictor of PSQI and depression scores, and a positive predictor of life satisfaction. Being in the SHE group was a negative predictor of PSQI and depression scores. Both SHE and EFT approaches are beneficial for elderly patients’ sleep quality, with SHE being more effective in ameliorating sleep. Further replication of this study is needed on a large probability sample from different geographical areas to help for the generalization of the results.

Another graphic from an important EFT paper I have published with Dawson Church and others.

The study included 203 participants at 6 Clinical EFT workshops - we wanted to elucidate EFTs common underlying physiological mechanisms of action.

To measure physiological change, participants at one of these workshops (n = 31) also received a comprehensive battery of medical tests. Psychological testing was similar at all 6 workshops, with pre- and postmeasures, and a follow-up during the subsequent year.

After EFT, significant declines were found in anxiety (−40%), depression (−35%), posttraumatic stress disorder (−32%), pain (−57%), and cravings (−74%). Happiness increased (+31%) as did salivary immunoglobulin A (SigA, +113%).

Who has felt happier after Tapping? 😁

Significant improvements were found in Resting Heart Rate (−8%), cortisol (−37%), systolic Blood Pressure (−6%), and diastolic Blood Pressure (−8%). The outcomes show EFT results in positive health effects as well as increased mental well-being.

More graphics this week to share!

Head-to-head comparisons with a treatment that has strong empirical support is a way of investigating an emerging therapy. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and its variations are considered the “gold standard” for treating many psychological conditions.

Did you know a total of 10 head-to-head studies have compared CBT to a tapping protocol (e.g. EFT), and in all 10, the acupoint tapping outcomes were approximately equivalent or compared favourably with CBT. In some of them the tapping outperformed CBT, especially in the follow-up periods (e.g. the changes after EFT were maintained and in CBT they were not).

EFT Reduces PTSD after Earthquake

77 male Haitian seminarians following the 2010 earthquake were assessed for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) using the PTSD Checklist (PCL).

Forty-eight (62%) exhibited scores in the clinical range (>49).

Participants received 2 days of instruction in Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). Following the EFT training, 0% of participants scored in the clinical range on the PCL.

Posttest PCL scores decreased an average of 72%, ranging between a 21% reduction to a 100% reduction in symptom severity. These results are consistent with other published reports of EFT’s efficacy in treating PTSD symptoms in traumatized populations, such as war veterans and genocide survivors.

This is so. Often we focus on the negatives or the ‘mistakes’ in our past or currently. Sometimes it is natural to place more focus on the negative events instead of being grateful for our achievements and all the good things we have done and continue to do. EFT or therapeutic Tapping helps to replace the negatives with the good stuff. Self-belief ☀️

"We have all hurt someone tremendously, whether by intent or accident. We have all loved someone tremendously, whether by intent or accident. it is an intrinsic human trait, and a deep responsibility, I think, to be an organ and a blade. But, learning to forgive ourselves and others because we have not chosen wisely is what makes us most human. We make horrible mistakes. It's how we learn. We breathe love. It's how we learn. And it is inevitable."
