Here’s a simple, delicious approved soup to get you started:

🍅 Spiced Tomato & Celery Soup (HCG Friendly)

Ingredients (Serves 1):

1 cup fresh tomatoes (chopped) or 1 cup no-added-sugar tinned tomatoes
1 cup celery (chopped)
2 cups vegetable or chicken broth (sugar-free, low sodium)
1 clove garlic (minced)
1 tbsp onion (finely chopped)
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1/4 tsp smoked paprika
Salt & pepper to taste
Stevia or monk fruit (optional, for sweetness balance)
Instructions:

In a small pot, sauté garlic and onion in a splash of broth until softened. Add tomatoes, celery, broth, vinegar, and paprika.

Simmer gently for 20–30 minutes until celery is soft.

Iron is an important mineral that helps maintain healthy blood.

Iron is a component of hemoglobin, a type of protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen from your lungs to all parts of the body. Without enough iron, there aren’t enough red blood cells to transport oxygen, which leads to fatigue. Iron is also part of myoglobin, a protein that carries and stores oxygen specifically in muscle tissues.

Iron from food comes in two forms: heme and non-heme. Heme is found in animal meat, poultry, and seafood. Non-heme iron is found in plant foods like whole grains, nuts, seeds, legumes, and leafy greens.

Iron is stored in the body as ferritin (in the liver, spleen, muscle tissue, and bone marrow) and is delivered throughout the body by transferrin (a protein in blood that binds to iron).

Protein is made up of amino acids, commonly known as building blocks, because they are attached in long chains. It is also considered a “macronutrient,” meaning that you need relatively large amounts of it to stay healthy.

Your body needs protein:
Oxygenate. Red blood cells contain a protein compound that carries oxygen throughout the body. This helps supply your entire body with the nutrients it needs.

Build. Protein is an important building block of bones, muscles, cartilage and skin. In fact, your hair and nails are comprised mostly of protein.

Repair. Your body uses it to build and repair tissue.

Digest. About half the dietary protein that you consume each day goes into making enzymes, which aids in digesting food, and making new cells and body chemicals.
