We’re sharing more real food recipes to help you feel better—one bite at a time.
This roasted veggie & lentil bowl is gut-friendly, anti-inflammatory, and ridiculously satisfying.

🌱 Recipe: Warm Roasted Veg & Lentil Bowl with Tahini Dressing
High-fibre. Anti-inflammatory. Gut-friendly.

🥗 Ingredients (Serves 2–3):
For the bowl:
1 cup cooked brown lentils or chickpeas
1 small sweet potato or pumpkin, diced
1 cup broccoli or cauliflower florets
1 zucchini, sliced
1 cup baby spinach or rocket
1 tbsp olive oil
½ tsp cumin
½ tsp smoked paprika
Sea salt to taste

For the tahini dressing:
2 tbsp tahini
Juice of ½ lemon
1 clove garlic, crushed
2 tbsp water (to thin)
Pinch of salt

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

Preheat oven to 200°C. Toss sweet potato/pumpkin, broccoli/cauliflower, and zucchini with olive oil, cumin, paprika, and salt. Roast for 25–30 mins until golden.
Whisk together all dressing ingredients until smooth.
In a bowl, layer baby spinach, cooked lentils/chickpeas, and roasted veg.
Drizzle with tahini dressing. Optional: top with pumpkin seeds or a spoonful of fermented veggies.

What Most Clients Get Wrong (And How to Get It Right)
— from a physiotherapist who’s seen it time and time again.

Here’s a pattern I see far too often:

✅ You book an appointment.
✅ You get assessed.
✅ We start treatment.
❌ You feel better… and then you stop coming.

I understand why.
Pain relief is motivating — but once the discomfort fades, so does the urgency.
You feel 70% better and think, “That’ll do.”

But here’s the truth:
Relief isn’t the same as recovery.

Most people stop too soon.
They exit the process before:

The root issue is corrected
Load tolerance is rebuilt
Strength, mobility, and function are restored
Long-term resilience is developed
And what happens next?
The pain returns. The cycle repeats.

If you want sustainable outcomes — not just temporary relief — you have to commit beyond the point where it stops hurting.

This isn’t about more sessions. It’s about completing the process.
Your body will thank you in five years, not five days.

Sometimes… no routine is the best routine.

I’m all for structure. Rituals. Purpose.
But not when they start making you feel like you’re failing.

We commit to all the things:
✨ 5am wake-ups
✨ Journaling before sunrise
✨ Movement
✨meditation
✨supplements
✨breathwork
✨meal prep
✨dry brushing....all before 9am

And then… we feel guilty when we don’t tick every box.

Here’s the truth:
If your routine adds more stress to your life, it’s not serving you.⁣

Journaling in the morning might sound beautiful.
But if you’re wrangling 3 kids out the door, it’s just another stressor.⁣

For me?
I’ve learned not to force things that don’t fit my life.
I don’t work out at 5am. I’ve got a little one in my bed who gets upset if I leave.
So instead, once all the kids are dropped off — that’s my time. That’s when I run, train, breathe.
It’s quiet. Peaceful. And it works.

I believe in routines.
But I also believe in flexible ideals that mould to the day you’re actually living — not the fantasy one you saw on Instagram.⁣

Be honest about what season you’re in.
Set yourself up to succeed, not shame yourself for falling short.⁣

With a background in hairdressing, beauty therapy, makeup artistry, and years of managing high-performing salon and spa businesses, Leanne has always had a gift for making people feel seen, cared for, and completely at ease.

Hi, I’m Max — co-founder of Effortless Superhuman, business manager, mum of three, ocean lover, and passionate advocate for real, grounded health.

My career began in executive recruitment — placing top talent into senior roles within the mining industry. I loved listening to people, understanding what made a workplace feel aligned, and helping others find their fit.⁣

But everything changed when we started our family. I wanted a different rhythm. So my husband Steve and I ...(I think you know him ;).. we built The Body Genius Institute and then Effortless Superhuman — a holistic clinic designed to help people heal deeply and live fully.⁣

He’s the clinician. I run everything behind the scenes — social media, marketing, finance, payroll, brand messaging, client communication, systems, and operations. If it doesn’t involve hands-on treatment, I’m probably the one doing it.⁣

In 2020, life threw me the ultimate curveball: a cancer diagnosis. That experience cracked me open. I dove into the world of healing, detoxification, and natural health — not because it was trendy, but because it was essential.⁣

I studied hard, became a certified detox specialist, and even started coaching others. I loved helping people — but with three young kids and my own healing still unfolding, I stepped away from formal coaching.⁣

Now, I share what I’ve learned through our business and with our community — no pressure, no perfection, just real insight and honest support.⁣

I love long open water swims, gym and sauna, a good book and a warm drink, deep conversations, and finding joy in simple things — a sunset, dancing around my kitchen or a fun boardgame with friends.

I believe health isn’t a destination — it’s a relationship with yourself. And I believe business can be built with heart, integrity, and intention.⁣

The man behind Effortless Superhuman .... If you’ve met Steve, you’ll know — he’s not loud, he’s not flashy, and he’s not trying to sell you anything.

He’s quietly dedicated. Focused. Someone who genuinely wants to help you heal.

Born in Kitchener, Ontario, Steve grew up immersed in sport — ice hockey, baseball, powerlifting, and track. He was a national-level athlete, a committed student, and someone who’s always been deeply driven by performance, health, and discipline.

He moved to Perth in his 20s to study physiotherapy, and since then, he's built an incredible body of work — from founding the Body Genius Institute to co-creating Effortless Superhuman with me, his wife Max.

Steve has authored five books, lectured for the Australian Institute of Fitness, and worked with thousands of clients — but what people don’t often see is the day-to-day dedication that makes it all possible.

He’s up at 4:30am every morning preparing for clients, researching, writing, and refining his systems. He trains four times a week — not for vanity, but for clarity. The gym is where he reflects. Recharges. And shows up for himself in the same way he shows up for others.

At home, Steve is a devoted husband and father of three. He’s currently coaching our son Ryder’s soccer team — two nights a week and every Sunday — and still makes time for beach walks, picnics, and watching the sunset when we can. He loves a quiet game of cribbage, movie nights, and those evenings when we’re all around the table sharing a meal. Sometimes you’ll find him sitting and colouring in with the kids while everyone talks around him — present, calm, and completely content just being with his family.

Steve is softly spoken, deeply generous, and quietly intense. He has strong opinions and shares them with honesty, integrity, and care. He’s always learning, always growing — and never content with surface-level solutions.

Effortless Superhuman is an extension of who he is.

If you’ve worked with Steve, you’ve likely felt it — his precision, his presence, and the sense that you’re finally in the right hands.

We’re proud of what we’ve built.
But more than anything, I’m proud of him.

🧄✨ One of our favourite immune-boosting remedies this winter: raw garlic soaked in honey.

When anyone in our house starts to feel rundown, this is our go-to.
It’s simple, powerful, and backed by centuries of traditional use.

We crush 5 cloves of raw garlic, let it sit for 15 minutes to activate the allicin (the compound responsible for its immune-boosting effects), then soak it in raw honey.
We take 1 tsp a few times a day—straight off the spoon or stirred into warm water.

💥 Garlic is a natural antibacterial, antiviral, and immune-modulating powerhouse.

They come to us because they are looking to learn, to be mentored through the healing process, and often, to go several steps further in enhancing performance within their lives.
