Most of us are looking for ways to prevent colds, the flu, and numerous other viruses and infections. Thankfully, there are foods you can add to your daily diet to help keep your immune system strong.

Here are 8 immune-boosting foods:

Citrus Fruits: Almost all citrus fruits are high in vitamin C.

Broccoli: Broccoli contains vitamins A, C, and E, as well as fiber and many other antioxidants.

Garlic: Garlic has immune-boosting properties

Spinach: Spinach is rich in vitamin C and also contains numerous antioxidants and beta carotene

Yogurt: Yogurt can also be a great source of vitamin D, which helps regulate the immune system

Sunflower seeds: Sunflower seeds are full of nutrients, such as phosphorous, magnesium, and vitamins B-6 and E.

Green tea: Green tea contains high levels of the powerful antioxidant epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG).
