🌿Nothing beats a sunny day out exploring together! ☀️

We had a great adventure last week, enjoying some sunshine, a swim and a walk through the trails. It was such a nice way to spend the day outdoors and take in the views 🏞️

With support, we were able to navigate the walking tracks safely and at a pace that felt comfortable. These moments are a really important part of building confidence, practising independence and working towards personal NDIS goals, all while having a genuinely good time 💚

It was such a great day and we’re already looking forward to our next adventure! 😁

🌊 Beach Adventures & Birthday Fun ☀️

This week we were lucky enough to help bring a special beach day to life, with friends coming together to celebrate and enjoy the sunshine ☀️🏖️

The weather was perfect for splashing in the water, relaxing on the sand, sharing cake and creating the kind of moments that only happen when good people gather! 🎂😁

We love supporting our participants to build strong informal support networks and it was really lovely to see everyone come together, connect and make the day their own 💚

🕸️ Spooks, Smiles & Sweet Treats! 🎃

Can we just say… what a frightfully fun night! 👻
Our My Hero crew hit the streets for some Halloween trick-or-treating and it was a total scream! It was a blast of a night with fun costumes, candy collections and a few spooky surprises along the way! 🍬🕷️

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us under the moonlight with your fun and creative costumes 🌙 It was certainly a night to remember! 😁

💚 Cooking & Confidence in the Kitchen 👩‍🍳

This morning, we rolled up our sleeves for a fun and hands-on cooking session! 🥗 We love seeing participants step outside their comfort zone, try something new and discover just how capable they are 🌟 Every activity is a chance to learn, build independence and grow confidence, and today was no exception! 😄It was a great morning experimenting with fun flavours, trying new things and ultimately eating a yummy meal!

☔️ Our Community BBQ has been cancelled due to the expected rain tomorrow 🌧️

We’re bummed to miss out on a sunny day together, though it’s the perfect chance to enjoy some cozy indoor fun instead!

Here are some rainy-day ideas to enjoy:

📚 Read a book
🎬 Watch a movie or show
🍪 Bake something yummy
🎲 Play board games

Stay safe, stay dry and have a lovely day indoors 💚😊

💚☀️ COMMUNITY BBQ & PICNIC THIS WEEK! 💚☀️

Picnic rugs at the ready! We’re hosting a chilled-out BBQ and picnic this Wednesday at the Seafront Oval and we’d love for you to join us!

From 11am–2pm, we’ll be grilling delicious BBQ goodies 🌭, enjoying cold drinks and enjoying one another's company. It’s the perfect chance to relax, catch up with familiar faces and meet some new ones too 😊

Whether you want to chill on the grass, play a few outdoor games or just enjoy some tasty food and great company, you are so welcome to come along 💚✨

💚 There’s so much more to our group activities than just fun and games! 😁

With My Hero events like our monthly Community BBQs for everyone, weekly Movie Nights and Play & Connect sessions for participants, there’s always something fun to look forward to 🤗 While there’s always plenty of fun and laughter, these activities are about so much more than that.

Here are just a few of the amazing benefits of getting involved:

🌟 Grow confidence and independence

🐠 Aquarium Adventures & Birthday Smiles 🎉

We had such an amazing day celebrating a birthday with a trip to the aquarium 🪼There was so much to see and enjoy but the underwater tunnel was definitely a highlight! it felt like stepping right into the ocean as we watched all the incredible sea creatures swimming above us 🦈

It was such a wonderful day filled with smiles, wonder and so much joy! A perfect way to celebrate a birthday and make some beautiful memories together! 😁

🧙‍♂️ A little magic goes a long way! 🎲

Last week our participants came together for another incredible Magic the Gathering session and wow, the energy was off the charts😆!! Epic plays, powerful decks and plenty of laughs, everyone brought their A-game and had an absolute blast 🎲🔥

It’s always so great to see participants connecting, learning new skills and enjoying time together over shared interests 🙌🏻💚

💚 What a fantastic day at Festable 2025! 💚

Our My Hero team had a blast helping organise this amazing event, connecting with the community at our stall and watching everyone enjoy the games and activities. Seeing so many happy faces made it all worthwhile! 🥳✨

🌅 Sunsets and Sandy Strolls 🏖️

We had such a wonderful afternoon walking along the beach and soaking in the stunning sunset views. It’s always so special to slow down, enjoy the fresh sea air and make time for a little fun and relaxation 💫

There’s nothing quite like ending the day with sandy toes and a sky full of colour 🌞🌅
